Liverpool v Sunderland
Well, we face one of the worst sides in the league, at home, on Saturday. Top-4 is practically gone, but we should look to secure a Europa League qualification and improve our performances in general. Sunderland have conceded the most goals in the league, so hopefully well score a few goals this time. Would be a boost to see Coutinho make the bench.

Re: Liverpool v Sunderland
Maybe we'll get to see Ibe and Allen out there. Fingers crossed. If we can't put a few past Sunderland we're really dire.
Hope Ojo makes the bench and gets a cameo maybe.

Re: Liverpool v Sunderland
The XI I'd like to see:
I feel I haven't even been as critical of Moreno as most, but after seeing him end so many of our attacks in the Leicester game either with too difficult shots or useless crosses, it really would be time to give someone else a chance.
Mignolet
Clyne - Caulker - Sakho - Smith
Henderson - Allen
Firmino - Lallana - Ibe
Benteke

Re: Liverpool v Sunderland
For me:
Can't justify keeping Sakho, Can and Moreno in at this point in their form. Why would you take out Lovren who has been our best defender under Klopp?

Re: Liverpool v Sunderland
Clyne has played more than other players and can use a rest. Also, fresher Clyne will give us better edge against WHU. Teixeira has played more than Ojo and justified each minutes of those, so I will prefer him.Curtinho wrote:For me:Mignolet

Re: Liverpool v Sunderland
I would be fine with Flanagan/Smith as our fullbacks. Like you said Clyne has played more than anyone.
Ojo is just better than Teixeira. I think Teixeira is an ok player but seeing him with the first team it's clear he lacks that bit of execution and pace needed to really take advantage of his abilities.

I don't think so. But let's agree to disagree on that. However, it would interesting to see us (specially Firmino) play with two wingers.Curtinho wrote:I would be fine with Flanagan/Smith as our fullbacks. Like you said Clyne has played more than anyone.

Not sure if you guys have heard about the walk out at 77 minutes, but keep an eye for it. Trying to prevent Ayre/FSG from destroying the spirit of the club and the fans. Liverpool PR is fighting back in full force trying to make the fans look like the bad guys. Disgusting really.

Re: Liverpool v Sunderland
Yeah, I read about it, but demand sets the price. Do I think 77 pounds is too much to pay for a game of football? Yes. But if those tickets still get sold, FSG are only doing the sensible thing.

Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno, Henderson, Can, Allen, Lallana, Milner, Firmino
Allen gets his start, but it's a disappointing line up again.

Letting a two goal lead slip away, mmkay. Can't even be mad at this point.

Appendicitis I think.
Mignolet left with the fans at the 77th, and our "best" defender gets turned for the game tying goal. What a great collapse.
At least Firmino and Ibe looked great.

Mignolet and Sakho lost the game.
It was 2-0 up against a horrible sunderland.

I can only imagine what the reaction would be like if it had been Lovren there instead of Sakho.

Mignolet has now cost Liverpool an approximate 15 points this season. [Squawka]

Mignolet HAS to be sold in the summer. I refuse to believe he'll be here next season.

Re: Liverpool v Sunderland
I give up on Mignolet really, i dont give a f*** whether he improves in the next season, we need to sell him. I remember I was the only one who was sceptical when we signed him and rightly so I had doubts about his mentality (more than his shot stopping ability). I know RA would still blame Rodgers, system, signings and everything else but Mignolet for his mistakes

I suppose I'm the only one who thinks it wasn't an absolute howler from Mignolet, but a good free-kick that he nearly saved but not quite

Yes, you're the only one.
I still have no idea how there are still people defending Mignolet and blaming everyone around him. It's so painfully obvious how much he has cost this team.

Wouldn't say it was a howler myself, but a better keeper should be saving that.
Moreno is more to blame imo, what a stupid foul to give away. Regardless, I gave up this season the moment when we let Rodgers start the 15/16 season. Hopefully Klopp can get us some silverware / get half these scrubs a little bit of a winning mentality before he can actually have a pre-season / proper training with the squad. (I don't think he's even had time to implement his style in training because of our schedule. )
Helmer wrote: I know RA would still blame Rodgers, system, signings and everything else but Mignolet for his mistakes
Oh do *bleep* off.
Saying Mignolet shouldn't be a scapegoat does not mean Mignolet is innocent. With that said, you can see WHY he's not performing if you want to put logic / context into it.
The defence in front of him is shit.
We don't have a goalkeeping coach.
We didn't "train" our defence. (Rodgers infamous "defending is easy" speech.)
We don't know how even to set up with set pieces today. (Again, I feel we'll be better at this next season when we actually, as a squad, and you know, actually have a squad with a few quality players get a proper pre-season in.)
But yeah, continue to lead your Klopp bad / Rodgers good / RA has no idea what he's on about speech you little munchkin, you.
