Liverpool v Sunderland
We play a game of football on Saturday against Sunderland AFC. They were founded in 1879 and their official nickname is the Black Cats.

Na, If *bleep* Gerrard can play 4 games a week, Lucas can play as well.
We need to win against Sunderland considering United play Soton and West Ham play Swansea.

Re: Liverpool v Sunderland
Another win is on the cards boys. This is where we really get our season kickstarted. Three straight wins and then a big win against Basel to give us some real confidence heading into Manchester.
Sterling and Gerrard to come on as subs if needed. Maybe Balotelli to start?
Manquillo - Lovren - Sakho - Enrique
Allen - Can
Lallana - Coutinho - Markovic
Lambert

Re: Liverpool v Sunderland
I would rest Sterling and Henderson and maybe even Johnson and Skrtel, need those guys fresh for the Basel game. If I could choose which one to win, this or the Basel one, I'd obviously choose the Basel game, so I'd rest some key players against Sunderland. The likes of Markovic, Sakho (if fit) and Can deserve a chance already anyway.

He's done all right, but not well enough to be an automatic starter. Has made a couple of bad mistakes in defense. Still, I was surprised to see Manquillo and Johnson start in our previous game (and even more surprised that our tactical half-time change was to bring Moreno in for Manquillo).

Re: Liverpool v Sunderland
Liverpool XI: Mignolet, Johnson, Moreno, Toure, Skrtel, Lucas, Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling, Lallana, Lambert.
No rest for the key players, I dunno, I would have rested at least Sterling and Henderson. The Basel game is just so, so big. Well, anyway, no excuses today then, need to win.

Re: Liverpool v Sunderland
Very good intensity, we are showing we want this. But we didn't create anything. So bad offensively. Sunderland are defending with 11 men. It's so tough to break down. BUt seriously so disappointing offensively.

Re: Liverpool v Sunderland
I think Coutinho is either struggling or not so effective I would say. We need little more patience and more runs in closed spaces

Re: Liverpool v Sunderland
We've been offensively disappointing all season. It's looking like the Stoke game, that we're going to need an unexpected goal to win this one. Should be doing better.

I mean every dog and their kitties would know already that Sunderland will defend deep so we needed better preparedness to to create few legit chances

Re: Liverpool v Sunderland
I mean urgency. Maybe intensity was the wrong word. But I can see urgency and desire in our play. It's just so poor anything we do in their 3rd.
