I think that given the recent history and the current financial state of Arsenal, we can say that Wenger is at least open to building some kind of depth using some big players.
You mean Cech?![]()
Ha, yes, maybe a Freudian slip?

Not surprising Cesc would be on your mind, after all it's only a couple of days since he was Man of the Match in the game at the Emirates.

Selection bias. Statistically, Ramsey was just as good if not better, in the context of the midfield partnerships.

Fabregas was winning all the plaudits but when you compare the two players, Ramsey had an excellent game.
Ramsey did all that a man down while basically toiling alone in midfield, while the Flim Flam man played center forward.
Sky/BT pundits can shove up their MOTM selection, along with their wonderful insights and deep analyses, up theirs.

Considering he was on his own the whole match, not surprised he got man of the match tbh. If only Flamini wasn't so useless and didn't play as a striker and the manager had a talk with him to play as DM.

I found my closure on CFlamini.
He just wanted to play closer to his bestie Mesut.
Dat bromance![Proud](/users/3313/22/97/24/smiles/4021133811.gif)

This might be biased from both of us, but those Stats doesn't make Ramsey look as good as Cesc. Cesc has more ball recoveries, tackles, fouls suffered, passes and key passes, while he has less fouls commited. Ramsey only wins in pass %, Dribbles and interceptions.
But as you said, Ramsey had a man less to work with.

That's precisely why I think Ramsey had a comparable game, at least. Context makes all the difference, doesn't it.
When there was so much space afforded, it doesn't take much for a player to dominate stats.
If Flamini-Ramsey had done even half as good a job as Chelsea's midfield was doing on Özil, my belief is that we would be having a very different conversation.

The inside story of Nwakali and Chukwueze.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/revealed-inside-story-arsenals-new-7271268
A good read about what kinda players they are.
So after not signing a single outfield player with the summer we've ended up signing 3 in the winter mercato. And Chukwueze will take the position held by Szczesny as the most difficult name to spell and pronounce.
P.S. Waiting for the obligatory videos of these two in U-17 WC.

Most likely agent/media rubbish
Ozil likes it here, I can see him and Sanchez staying here for a long time.

Who knows mate. There is no loyalty in football.
Just hope we sell him for 70m at least.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Özil contract talks come up and, incredibly, just a week before we play Barca, Spanish media outlets (Marca), are reporting he wants to leave while his agent tells Bild (allegedly) that he has been in contact with other clubs.
The timing is amazing, no?
He wants a big bumper deal, one that he deserves, and these rumors are package and parcel with negotiating to get one.

Exactly. Just as stirring trouble before a CL tie with 'opposition player in talks to join us' rumours is straight out of the big club playbook.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
the rumour just doesn't make sense, Ozil has already played in la liga and for probably the biggest club in the world. Barcelona don't play a way that suits him at the moment, it would be a dreadful move for both parties so that leaves us with Bayern munich. They would need to pay something like 70 or 80 mill plus wages which i can't see them doing for a position in which they are well stocked.

Lol don't worry, there's more chance of Barca buying Flamini than Ozil under Luis Simeruque.

Very knowledgeable @MDpor_elmundo says Barça have no interest in Özil. It is Özil's agent trying to get better deal. [@Marcotti]

Murmurs that Arsenal are considering letting Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain leave in the summer if we can at least recoup the £12m we paid for him in 2011. (From the Independent, IIRC).
Thoughts?

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Only if we're buying someone much better first.
Even then, striker is a higher priority.
Don't want to let an experienced Ox go for the likes for Gnabry or Silva or Campbell to take the place and gain experience, only to be sold 2 years later.

LOAN LOAN LOAN LOAN
He has incredible talent. Just need one whole season as a starter (assuming he stays fit)
If we sell him to any team and he starts showing his real talent, he will 100% end up at Chelsea/pool/united/city
