Told you so, whoever doubted me, Japan wins penalties.
They are stone cold.
And Us sucks *at taking penalties.

USWNT will be crying tonight. They shouldn't.
You can't give away a game you have right in you're hands. It was there own doing.

What's all this about the US sucking and being choke artists?
That's absolutely ridiculous talk.

They missed their first three penalties and dropped an equalizer at the last few minutes twiceMcLewis wrote:What's all this about the US sucking and being choke artists?

And Us sucks.
The U.S. definitely didn't suck but a few players choked unfortunately. It's incredibly unfortunate because they played their hearts out, and this was an incredibly entertaining World Cup.

I mean, in taking penalties they suck. They were obviously much better. Read back my other comments, I've been saying that the whole time.

The US choked. How do you miss the first THREE PKs?! Credit due to japan, but the US lost on PKs more than Japan won.Guiltybystander wrote:Told you so, whoever doubted me, Japan wins penalties.

PKs are 50/50....you either score em or you don't....they were simply unfortunate that they didn't score, but two of the players that missed today scored against Brazil. I don't consider them choke artists. Only Tobin Heath, who hadn't taken one before has that distinction in my book.
My definition of choking is when the pressure gets to you....a lot of these women have been here before....based on what I saw of the huddle prior to the kicks, I saw no outward signs of pressure.

Makes me sad.
But I am happy for Japan. They really deserve it after what they've been through.

Re: WWC Final: Japan - USA
Amazing final! I started watching it instead of Brazil-Paraguay...
Even though the US lost, think about how much more popular the sport will become there... Girls will look up to the likes of Solo, Wambach, Rapinoe, and Morgan.
IMO the USA's path to the final helped the sport over there almost as much the legendary Mia Hamm...

Re: WWC Final: Japan - USA
watched this game instead of brazil paraguay... never seen brazil play so badly...
anyway im japaanese but im very impressed with U.S. soccer they played exceptionally well that hit post so many times... japan were just good with possession football but poor on defense and suffering counterattaack.
alex morgan is smokin hot, and she plays killer football. she is awesome!!!
anyway as im happy that japan won but equally happy and impressed with americans they deserved the best, and they were incredibly polite people too, the americans they had so much good things to say to us japanese.

Re: WWC Final: Japan - USA
I think Alex Morgan has cemented herself as the future of USA Women's Football. She had a goal and an assist in this game...
It's between her and Japan's captain Hamare Sawa for WOTM.
oh and Jespwe....omedetou gozaimasu!
Apologies for the Romanji....haven't gotten around to installing Japanese on this PC.
