1-4 at the Etihad, get the *bleep* in
Why can't we attack with this intensity and urgency every game? Our attacks were just a joy to watch.
Firmino got his first LFC goal while Coutinho has scored in three straight now. And Skrtel, what a hit, I also lost count of the tackles, blocks and interceptions he made in defence!
More of the same, please, in this form we are a top-4 team, just keep this going now, please!

I will post something longer in a bit, but by god that was one of the best games I've watched Liverpool play in a long, long time. Maybe even pre-Suarez. It was a masterclass. They had no answer whatsoever for Coutinho and Firmino who were easily the two best players on the pitch.
Lovren and Skrtel were stalwarts. Mignolet was good. Lallana was pressing like a madman.

Definitely one of the best games we've played in the last quarter of a century. But I wouldn't put it above 5-1 Arsenal or 4-0 Everton during Suarez era either. It's on par with them.

Re: Man City v Liverpool
Mignolet: His poor distribution keeps gnawing him and Liverpool just as his superb saves keeps him and the club afloat.
Clyne: Kept Sterling in his pocket. Otherwise seemed to be a bit off, to me that is.
Skrtel: Was guilty for the goal conceded, was commanding otherwise and, wasn't that a superb strike!!!
Lovren: I don't know this guy, give us back our old Lovren. Just kidding, just kidding.
Moreno: Solid defensively; but like Clyne was rather conservative in attack.
Lucas: The usual, vital cog of the Klopp Machine
Emre: Sweet back-hill along with couple other important link-up jobs.
Milner: He will always be boring. But he can never be awful.
Lallana: Something must be going on between him and Klopp, did you see that hug???
Firmino: Gawd, how could he miss THREE one-on-one??? And in this form!!!
Coutinho: Grumpy is gone, the gleam is back.
Benteke: Should have buried that chance, Bently. It cost me dear.

Re: Man City v Liverpool
I think Mignolet was actually good. We know his limitations very well, there is nothing new that he can not distribute the ball well but his decision making was superb yesterday. He closed the space really well for Sterling yesterday and made one-two sweeper jobs. I am satisfied with him for now.

We made City look poor. We made them uncomfortable at their own ground. That was City's largest defeat at the Etihad.
A lot of positives to come out of this game, but we need to start beating the smaller sides.

A lot of winnable games to end the year. What a better time to start then to qualify for the Europa on Thursday.

Re: Man City v Liverpool
After Firminos performance, I think it can be a good plan B to unlock the smaller sides when Benteke is unable to influence the game, unless Sturridge is fit.

Re: Man City v Liverpool
meh these false dawns, winning the league in 2-3 years, rising to the glory....is all BS talk really. I would like more to discuss Klopps tactics, games, individual players. We are really really far from anything concrete apart from a midtable team challenging for top 4 in this season.

Re: Man City v Liverpool
We were good, but City were also bad, they gifted us a lot of the chances. We're not going to have that much time and space attacking through the middle against sides who'll take a 'defence first' approach against us. So, what I'm saying is that scoring four goals at the Etihad isn't enough to conclude that our attack is now top notch. It remains to be seen whether we've improved at unlocking packed defences or are just particularly good on the counter.

Re: Man City v Liverpool
If city and Chelsea don't have top defence I wonder who has tbh. What am saying is in starting games of klopp though players were running and pressing the midfield performance was pretty ordinary they weren't able to make decent passes and create chances. That aspect is certainly improving also scoring 3 atleast 2 goals before halftime with Bentley and sturridge on bench is also very encouraging. What was lacking was confidence which am sure will rise after such performance. Crystal game was purely lost on grounds of physicality imo.
