Napoli have started a dream start this season and the player that is mainly responsible for their dominating performance is Insigne. Guy is not only assistig Xavisque goals but also has scored few crackers

Re: Lorenzo Insigne- Next Totti
He's a good player, but far from Totti, and it sucks because we don't have any great trequartista around these days. Cassano was next in line but he is a flawed genius

Calma
Anyeay if he' d always so consistent , he' d be the next Del Piero , not Totti.
He reminds me more ADP

Re: Lorenzo Insigne- Next Totti
I don't think I would even say not even close. That would indicate he can get closer which I'm sorry to say (or not sorry) would ever happen. Totti at his age was doing Totti things and this is without stats being mentioned.

Only in Italy is a 24 year old considered 'young' anymore

Re: Lorenzo Insigne- Next Totti
He would never reach the heights to be able to clean Di Natale's shoes let alone be considered his level.
Miccoli is doable.

Re: Lorenzo Insigne- Next Totti
supposed to have been the next big thing in Serie A for like 6 years now
seems to be on a nice little run of form currently but there have been countless flops in Serie A that have enjoyed much longer periods of false hype
at least wait until the end of the season ffs

De Bump.
After being hot and cold as a young player, Insigne is on his second outstanding season.
I know he has a reputation for selfishness and making bad decisions in the past, but he has looked brilliant since Benitez left.
Particularly, this new Insigne creates as much as he finishes and most importantly is an integral part of the build up and passing game of Napoli.
Just in the CL this week, while Napoli got outplayed; he scored and had the second most passes in the game with 79 passes and 88% accuracy, as a forward!.
Last season he scored 13 and assisted 11. This season he has 8 and 7. His partnership with Hamsik is a big reason of why Napoli works be it with Higuain, Gabbiadini, Milik or Mertens now.
His work rate is huge (no player can be lazy under Sarri or Conte), great control, good dribbling, great passing, good shooting.
Obviously not the next Totti, no one will be for a long long time. A very good player in his own right that has become very complete.
