I think people have forgotten why Barcelona *bleep* up the season right at the end. Reason number one: players were fatigued. Front three playing every match, so did the midfield and tbh and oh coming to think of it so did your defenders. Absolutely no rotation whatsoever because Lucho didn't trust the subs for some reason.

Iniesta is 32, he can't play every match any more. Is the coach relying on Turan and Rafinha to fill in? Turan was very bad last season and also during Euro 2016, the guy even looks overweight from eating too many döner kebabs. Rafinha, like his brother, could be another injury prone player whom you can't rely on. Not too long ago no midfield came close to Barça's, I dare say these days quite a few teams surpass yours.

Who is going to fill Dani Alves' gap? He has been one of your best and most consistent players, probably a better ball controller than some of your midfielders like Rakitić. And yet you have signed nobody. I'm taking Sergi Roberto is going to be your RB next season, hilarious

All in all the only good thing about Barcelona's season has been lack of an ugly sponsor on your shirt, which let's face it, will eventually appear on it.

Not sure what kind of signings you're expecting, aside from the lack of news of right back, the rest of the field has been taken care of. And as mentioned, the window isn't shut and we could still potentially land a right back.


This is allot better than previous windows where we would be rumored to sign everyone, and only land one marquee name followed by a Douglas or some bullshit and then for the entire 2 month window we did nothing. This window we are being very proactive, and signing good promising players that can step in and we can mold into our team for the future. All in all, while the club is still trying to renew players contracts and keep the budget within a certain ratio. So far I'm pretty satisfied

Well to be fair we also needed a CB if the rumors of Verm leaving are true, since without Bartra and Verm we would be left at 3 CBs. Umtiti seems to be good enough (only watched him in a few euros game).

We also need a LB back up and we got Digne. His price seems ridiculous but the position needed to be filled.

So yes we do need a FW and a RB. Don't agree we need a CM, yet. We should put a cheeky bid for Charles Aranguiz (although he is not the LE type of player), but it's a position that can wait until next year once Iniesta is officially useless. The FW plan right now seems to be Vietto and yeah, it really does seem like we are not looking for anyone at RB, but I hope that's just misdirection for negotiation purposes...

Thing is we sent him away because he was complaining about playing time, I think even Pique said some indirect diss towards him in a press conference once while Tello was still here because they were upset with his bitching. I don't remember the details, maybe someone else can fill them in. He was pretty ok at Porto and at Fiorentina, but the guy clearly wants to be playing allot of minutes, no way he accepts a back up role. Even after everything, I still think we should of activated Deulofeus buy back, but it's clear Lucho wants nothing to do with him. But Deulofeu can play both wings, knows the system and players, and is great a creating chances (which was Nolito's strongest part of his game). Plus I didn't hear any dumb shit about him last season, so he might finally be maturing.

By all accounts, it seems we are gonna land Vietto next. Umtiti, Digne, and Vietto in one week (all 22 years old lol), and D. Suarez last week (22 years old)

I can definitely get behind the transfers so far. Denis Suarez is the one which really interests me. I watched Villareal quite a bit last season and he looked really good as a wide midfielder. I am still unsure if he is good enough to be a starting midfielder for us.
but of the current young options(Rafinha, Roberto and him), Suarez I think has the highest chance.

our midfield is stacked, iniesta rakitic and buscuit are still our starters in the big games, the youngsters like alex said are more than enough for depth against bottom half teams etc. add that turan isn't leaving

iniesta has proven he is still one of the best midfield's today and 32 for a midfield isn't so old...

all we really need to do is sell: verm/song/tello/douglas/adriano/montoya
buy: RB and a Forward (2?)

I think the logic is that the buying club would be more interested a playing and developing a player if they actually paid money for him. If its a loan( very little or no money involved) , the club dont feel the pinch to develop the player. With 5mil paid, Hamburg would want to recoup atleast some of the money and may actually play him and develop him more.
I think it is better option than our previous strategy of just loaning. We now have Song, Tello and Montoya back from loan with no buyers.
I like this strategy much better.
Granted it is not my first option.Ideally, Halilovic should get a shot with the first team and Lucho should develop him. But our coach doesnt care about the future and isnt into promoting youth.

It's a decent strategy for the likes of Song, Tello, and Montoya but with the hype Halilovic had it seems strange. Either his development stalled or your board is making a very stupid decision.
