You might want to clean up your windows and see if that helps.  I'd run:

-  bleachbit (ccleaner but better)
-  adwcleaner (get rids of adware)
-  wise registry cleaner (only use the registry clean up options)
- patchmypc.exe (bring all your software to the current version)

If that doesn't work, get the windows repair tool from tweaking.com and run the windows fix tools there.

issue started reappearing again a few days earlier, yesterday new Windows update popped up

I'm not good with computers but I'll look into it.

Generally I dont mind Win 10 but some of the bugs are really annoying

The one OS I truly despise is android

This was a very smart virus, it didn't even allow me to install an antivirus or any software that can harm it. You could pretty much just sit back and watch it do things, install programs, open websites and make your programs disappear one by one

Anyway, I have a friend who knows shit and he transferred all my stuff to an external HD, installed new OS, decrypted my pics and returned them to my HD.

if it happens again try starting your pc in safe mode then instal the anitvirus.

Microsoft has fixed a glitch in Windows 10 that meant one of the operating system's core features stopped working.

Dozens posted on social media that Windows Search had stopped working for them on Wednesday morning.

Users said that when they used the desktop search tool it brought up a blank box rather than related results.

Hours after it was first reported, the company said it "resolved" the problem for most users but some may need to restart their computers.

"This issue has been resolved for most users and in some cases you may need to reboot your machine," it said.

just checked mine and it didnt work did the restart and its fine now

lEft-click onto the connection then rightclick to see the options, choose connection properties. Then find the option "metered connection", click the box next to it. From then on, only security relevant updates will be downloaded without your permission. You can install the updates on your leasure manually whenever you search for updates with Windows Update.

The updates haven't been bothering me as much as they used to back then but I followed your advice. Danke
