FuSSbal, i am in love with the badge first and foremost. I identify with the shirt, and the idea that i have of what the club means. I am a fan of the CLUB, not the players because it would mean you either leave with the players, or you act like they are the best when they play for you.

Sure Ramos was instrumental winning la decima, yet to me that doesnt mean we will be hostages to his demands. Many came before him, many will come after, it's as simple as that. He scored an incredible header, yet it's being naive that you have to jeopardise your future based off that single moment. we won 10 CL, not one.

Ramos going is a gift from God. Couldn't give two fcks if we got otamendi or not we have two superior defenders in Pepe and Varane anyways

If there's anyone who should be leaving, it should be Casillas. But he's become an immovable object. Laughing

Speaking of CBs...

Ramos is definitely overrated. His winning headers masks his defensive failings. He's decent. As a pure defender, nothing special.

Hummels, another pretty boy, who I used to swoon over until lately. He's glorious on the ball and aerially stupendous. But his lack of pace is an handicap and his attitude stinks. He was absolutely tragic last season in terms of organising his defense, whilst individually displaying poor anticipation. Contrary to popular belief, he's no leader.

Thiago Silva: His injuries have hampered his consistency, and by the looks of it his other manly traits.

Godin and Pepe: may not 've the marketing machine behind them, but they are your only no-nonsense defenders in the game, who don't 've to do fancy-shancy stuff on the ball to stand out in their roles.

Ota has had a stellar season, but until he does it over an extended period, I'd be cautious to rate him amongst the best.

Piqué: brilliant sec half. But motivation has always been an issue with him and his off-pitch joker role makes an appearance in-game from time to time. Again, I'm wary to praise him too highly because you never know when his waka waka version re-appears.

Varane, Marcos, Giménez, Laporte: all talented youngsters. But the frenchman is marked for greatness if developed well.
If he was @ Barca, he'd be starting for us week in week out.
A natural talent whose physical and technical attributes trumps his peers. I'm sad he's not a blaugrana.

dont worry about Iker, he is on his way too, or at the very least, he wont be our starting gk anymore starting next season

Never liked him as a player because I thought he was a **** on the pitch, but he'll be our **** Proud

A player + cash deal involving De Gea and Ramos looks near-certain now and I think it's Real Madrid who win big. Ramos isn't irreplaceable and isn't getting any younger, while De Gea is probably going to be a world-class keeper for a decade or so.

Keeping in mind how Real Madrid players who have in recent years come to the Premier League have flopped (Sahin, Özil, Di Maria), I'm all for this transfer to materialize.

Wouldn't be so sure that Otamendi would do better than Ramos. First of all he was so good this season because he and Mustafi are like brothers on the pitch, as in they understand each other perfectly. As Mole said earlier, you dont realise what you got till you lose it

Nothing substantial yet, but we've been linked with Otamendi for weeks now. He apparently favors a move to the PL.

the thing that gets me mad the most about ramos, is that no matter how big the mistake, he still wears that big stupid "im gonna start next game too" smile, doesn't look bothered at all freaking pos Laughing
