But GL has always told me that Inter is shit. How is it possible that they could actually have a good team?

Re: Official FC Inter thread
Do you believe that Palacio will continue to be a starter Robes? I'd have thought Mancini was more likely to put Shaqiri out on the wing in order to accommodate either Brozovic or Hernanes at AM. Granted Palacio did well under Mancini after a poor start to the season with Mazzari but given his age one would think it's time to start phasing him out gradually.

I hope not because he is in decline , I' d like Jovetic.
Anyway that is a Gazzetta's lineup and in my experience I can say the lineups made by Gazzetta in summer never happen and they often not even go close to it
My idea about Shaqiri is he is better as winger than CAM while Hernanes is good as CAM (testified also in 2nd half of season under us ) , and the Brazilian is our only real CAM , so I agree with you .. it didn't make sense
Noone has idea which system wants to play Mancini ... if 4-3-1-2 ( played last year ) , 4-2-3-1 ( played at the beginning but abandoned for scrub results ) or 4-3-3
I hope not 4-2-3-1 because I believe it doesn't work in Serie A.

Re: Official FC Inter thread
I think Jovetic would be an excellent partner to Icardi however it seems quite risky to invest heavily in such an injury prone player. It's really quite sad, he had such a bright start, starring in the Champions League at such a young age against Liverpool and Lyon but I don't think he'll ever reach the heights he should have.

That was a 4-2-1-3. Even Leonardo managed to get us 3rd with that system.

We played with Mourinho 4-3-1-2 until January , but we converted to 4-2-3-1 system because it was rated as more proper for Champions League by Mourinho , and infact we won the Champions League with that tactical change .
but in league we had 14 points above Roma in January and we were going to lose it if Roma didn't bottle it against Sampdoria
Napoli was the only " top " Italian team to play in this way under Benitez in last 2 years and they slogged more than expected in league despite that attack

Re: Official FC Inter thread
Just saying lol. Besides I'm adamant it doesn't work because there's a distinct lack of wingers in Serie A.
Hope we sell this beast to Inter to wreak havoc upfront with Icardi. Montella did a great job converting him into an SS.

Re: Official FC Inter thread
Fiorentina in general had a fairly disappointing finish to the season which likely contributed to his form in part. The problem I've always had with Salah however is that his finishing is awful. He was on an excellent run in the league but it's unsustainable and I fear he'll come to resemble Gervinho's final few months. Still able to make chances and get on the end of them but a permanent frustration in front of goal.

Re: Official FC Inter thread
In S' defence, the sides Fiorentina played in the final weeks were utter dross, he'd been quiet for a while prior to the Empoli game. Quality player regardless, hope he finds a club where he will get a chance to play regularly and become more of a finished product. He's better off extending his loan at Fiorentina rather than refusing the offer in my opinion.

Terrible stats but better players than Salah have gone on worse runs.El Shaarawy wrote:Gil wrote:S wrote:Salah was mediocre the last month or so.He was starting to get found out.

He's started like a house on fire & had a respectable closeout to the season. Like Dos said his finishing needs to improve but the tools are definitely there.
His exceptional NT goalscoring record makes me believe he'll develop into a 20 goal striker in a settled environment.

Really? There's no reason to stay with Montella gone & their inevitable decline. There's potential with Inter, Milan, Roma and a guaranteed starting spot.

Re: Official FC Inter thread
I can understand if he wanted to try his hand at Roma but if I were Salah I'd rather stay and enjoy another season of European football at Fiorentina than go to Milan, where everyone is umming and ahhing about what our formation will even be. Inter I could also understand because they have a specific need for a player of Salah's ilk but Fiorentina do offer European football in the short term which allows Salah to advertise himself to bigger fish. He may want to use this opportunity to move to a side that are willing to pay him better though which is understandable.

Re: Official FC Inter thread
When Salah came to Serie A, he was an unknown quantity. He was beating defenders through his blistering pace and hence the explosive start much like Krasic and Gervinho when they first stepped foot to Italy. That form gradually dropped as the games passed by as he became more noticed and was closely marked as a result. The same thing happened to Krasic and Gervinho and they ended up flopping badly.
From what i 've seen of Salah, he belongs in the same category. He needs to prove otherwise that he has intillegence to his game and not just about pace and dribbling, because chances are he experiences the same fate as the other two wingers mentioned above. Not to mention his finishing sucks as pointed out.So I wouldn't be so certain that he would 'wreak havoc' next season just yet.

Re: Official FC Inter thread
In hindsight, I may have overused the word understand in my previous post.
Back on topic, was Inter's interest in Perisic real or was it just a passing rumour? It seemed to make a lot of sense. As either a starter or depth he'd add a great deal to Inter, they certainly can't go into the season needing to change formation if just one attacker gets injured.

Re: Official FC Inter thread
Pato's "decline" was almost exclusively down to constantly getting injured. He reached 50 Serie A goals faster than any player in history and had three productive seasons as a youngster, he was hardly a flash in the pan player to be compared with Milos Freaking Krasic.
