Rakitic is class, and along with the slight dip in form, the reasons i listed above are also the reason why you guys can't get the best of him...
Bad Tactics, blame goes to Lucho too

Its a dilemma though, previously after Xavi left or around the time just before I think where everyone demanded Barca to be more direct due to various reasons, including teams were adapting to counter us better and better, our players getting older/leaving, natural evolution needed, etc., and Enrique did just that, and then with our front three being to effective and winning the treble and then the double more or less due to it, it just kept going that way.
But then nothing is perfect and we have gotten to this point in time where its not working again probably for the same reasons mentioned.
But we really cant go back to play like the Pep days cos we simply dont have the personnel good to pull it off anymore, with Xavi and Iniesta getting on, no Alves, so maybe when ppl go on about how Enrique is making mistakes again and should change, but not too sure exactly how or if its practice today and if he can immediately do it effectively. Im pretty sure he and the team at Barca knows all about the situation but are still trying to evolve as always. Not always easy to do.

There hasn't been a dip in form. He's playing just as well as his first two seasons. Just that now Luis Enrique seems to have started disliking him for no reason, and is on his way of ruining his career at Barça for his go to guy Andre Gomes, just like he has done to other players.

We need to renew him, Rakatic fully deserves it too. Gomes in the second half just showed again hes not fitting well at Barca still... .

against a worned out las palmas. he really isnt anything interesting in small spaces and passing wise, in our context. thrives on open spaces in front of him to run into. if he gets closed down he is useless imho

Fully deserved. He still has his limitations though, but definitely have been a beast for us whenever he plays.

That Croatia team was amazing. Mandzukic was literally running late into the 2nd extra time. Most players at his age use their age as an excuse not to run for their team. I'll be rooting for them on Sunday

No, Modric a demigod. Rakitic is the best of the Croatian mortals. But Modric is a divine midfield general who regularly drinks ale with Zeus, Poseidon and Hades on the corpses of the defeated Titans.
