They won't spend 40-50m to just bench him.

If Rodgers stays, I don't fault the lads ambition at all and wish him well wherever he goes
I feel this might be the only way he stays and is productive.
Unlike you i won't wish him well, not because he thinks we don't have ambition, his not wrong, were not going to win anything at this rate, some respect from the guy would be nice.
Why does he owe us respect?
Have you seen the way we've been treating him all season?

Yeah, we sent Raheem to Jamaica half way through the season against his wishes. He wanted to stay and train. Foolhardy decision in hindsight.

Re: OFFICIAL : Raheem Sterling joins Man City
Oh wow he got 2 weeks off in January? Wow. Great management. Excellent coaching. What a man this Rodgers is. Sterling should never not complain. 2 weeks off. Wow.
I mean, he didn't really have a pre season. But that's not really the point, is it?
It's not like this was his first full season or anything. Like, that's not mentally or physically demanding coming up as a player. He should of adapted right away right? He has sooooooooo much experience behind him.
It's not like he had to adapt to 3 different positions this season that were unforeign to him.
It's not like he was a key player for us at 20 years old despite what's gone on.
It's not like even with the 2 weeks off in January or whatever it was, he still had the most minutes on the pitch for us come the end of the season iirc.
But yeah. Great management ON the pitch.
Let's talk off the pitch now. Let's talk about how wonderful we've been in regards to Sterling.
Rodgers makes this public by saying Liverpool offer him a great deal and he should stay.
Gets a few local tabloids onto him. Saying how Liverpool is soooooooooooooo great and why would Sterling want to leave. He has it all at Liverpool right?
Makes ex-Liverpool players/the rest of the tabloids to try and "bully" (yes his words not mine but it's true) into signing a new deal where it's clear he doesn't want to sign a contract because his manager is a clown. But that's not really the point here, is it? It's all irrelevant. He's greedy. He wants to leave because of financial reasons.
Which we all know is bullshit if you have half a mind, but it's great PR you see?
Takes pressure off the manager, makes the player look like the bad way. Liverpool's really good at it. We've done it with loads of ex-players. Mascherano. Torres. Suarez to an extent. Sterling now. It's never been the clubs fault. lmao

Half the shit you say doesn't make sense any more. Which is a shame, truly.
I do not know what "Hames" or El Cujo have done to you, but stop whatever you're doing before you officially turn irrelevant please.

Re: OFFICIAL : Raheem Sterling joins Man City
he was givern a improved contract midseason as a reward for doing really well in the first team. if I remember at the time he had just turned 18. and had a few first team games and was asking for 50k per week. can you see a pattern here.Hapless_Hans wrote:2.5 years? Are you serious, its was only months ago you were telling us to calm down as this was all standard media hype, now it's all some conspiracy theory on Rodgers covering his ass by making RS look like a dick.
This whole irrelevant thing kills me when you little kids go on about it on football forums, FML.

we don't want dzeko. we don't cross the ball enough for him. we should get 40mil for sterling and buy the best striker we can get for that amount.Art Morte wrote:Throw in Dzeko and you've got a deal, imo.

dzeko is 29yo. benteke is 23yo. if things don't work out benteke will have a sell on value. that's if we sign benteke.Red Alert wrote:Unique wrote:we don't want dzeko. we don't cross the ball enough for him. we should get 40mil for sterling and buy the best striker we can get for that amount.Art Morte wrote:Throw in Dzeko and you've got a deal, imo.
