Should we buy Sterling?
He's 20, versatile, lacks an end product and is an AM. If Jose can get work rate out of him, he'll be the perfect Willian replacement.
Ok, enough jokes, Sterling is a very good player, and someone who would do well in our set up. He's English and apparently favours a move to London. He'd likely cost 40m pounds though.
Is he worth it?

It's impossible to predict, depends on how he will evolve, but i don't think so, City will overpay for him. Bale on the other side is worth overpaying, because he will not only play for you, you avoid a world class force to play for your direct rivals and against you, don't think Sterling will have such impact.

Re: Should we buy Sterling?
Sterling is absolutely beautiful if he has someone infront of him to score goals for him, He'll walk past midfields like they are invisible, You guys know what Sterling is all about seeing the Liverpool Chelsea games. If he could do it playing as a striker imagine him behind Costa.
Even with a shit end product he will guarantee 10 goals a season, At 20 thats fantastic for a PL player.

If the price is right for sure anything under £30M I suppose is ok although I still think that is a bit steep but he will have the £10M English tax on top, he's miles better than Moses Sometimes I forget about him, but yeah would be good for the home grown slot replacement and defo has a role in the squad.
Although we haven't seen Mou rotate much so who knows, maybe he would use him as an impact sub...

Re: Should we buy Sterling?
The best he could be for us is a super sub, something which Cuadrado should have been. In the future he could be a starter, but not presently.
But yes, I'd take him for under 30m.

Antoine greizman over sterling. I feel it is his agent causing a lot of fuss, and I honestly believe sterling going to a bigger club is going to make him a Scott Sinclair 2.0.

If you did, you'd have to trust that he keeps on developing, because at the moment he's not a player who should be an automatic starter for Chelsea. For the transfer fee you'd have to spend on Sterling, you could almost certainly attract a player who is better than Sterling right now. Griezmann, for example.

Re: Should we buy Sterling?
I'd certainly take Greizman over Sterling, especially if we're only aiming for 8 HG players.
Green, Blackman, Terry, Cahill, RLC, Fabregas, Bamford, and a youth player would be enough.

Re: Should we buy Sterling?
Well he is one of the most interesting prospects in England. so we should keep an eye on the situation but if City goes serious with that huge offer to him and Pool we shouldnt challenge them into who offers more. He's not a priority.
Griezmann has been the best forward in Spain excluding MSN, he's so good, I'd love him but he became such a key player for Atleti, I don't think they'd want to hand us their fourth key player in a row to us.

Re: Should we buy Sterling?
Either way I doubt sterling is even considered a factor to joining us next year. Too much hype too little show and way too much baggage for mou to even consider. At this point if he wants to go to a CL club then only city might consider him. For a 20 year old he's good, but can't see him improving us over greizmann. Hazard and greizmann to tear up the premier league next season

Re: Should we buy Sterling?
I think We'll consider him, for sure.
An English player who, realistically, only wants to move to Chelsea, Arsenal, Utd or City, and it good enough for all of them, should be considered.
I wouldn't call us the front runners, though.

Re: Should we buy Sterling?
I mean we will consider him given he's English but he isn't an upgrade to any of our attacking midfield players

I'm not saying he isn't good, he is amazing for his age, but coming to Chelsea will stunt him.

I think the best he can hope for is super sub.
But then again, I don't see him as a starter at Arsenal or Utd.
Maybe City if Nasri and Milner leave.

Re: Should we buy Sterling?
Our AMs are pretty young too so the fact that he's 20 it's relevant only because it means he has more room to improve. But like I said, he's not a priority, there are bigger concerns in this summer window IMO. Like a new CM, injecting young blood in our defense considering Terry and Ivanovic are aging (Chambers would've been perfect, but I guess Stones is good too, same goes for Bartra), Bambford back home and a GK if Petr leaves.

No, he isn't a priority, but we do need another AM.
