Boateng's performance was one of the best I've seen from him. Absolutely immense.
It's not his fault those mental midgets Bernat and Thiago kept losing every ball, and at some point you simply can't stop Messi on the counter
I also agree. Boateng is one of the best CB out there and I'd take in at Barca easily. Casual fans will laugh at him because of that goal but Boateng is a great CB. Messi is just ...too much.

not only Barça managed to avenge the 2013 loss, Messi even avenged what Ribery did to him in that match .

Messi would do this to any defender one on one. Still hilarious though.

boateng was one of the best players yesterday, can't blame me for seeing a different game without hype glasses. you guys can't form a real argument, but hey keep pretending its hilarious don't even know why i bother

Re: The Official Mourning of Jerome Boateng
On a serious note I thought he did well. Most defenders will get turned inside out by Messi 1 on 1 in the box. He was one of Bayerns best players yesterday tbh.
He has raped Ramos, Rio and Vidic, Pepe, Cannavaro and R. Carlos etc. The hyperbole some people are using is outrageous.

agree. that's why he's considered special ffs, not even the best defenders can stop him. Messi would do that to any defender, be it Boateng or Baresi

Re: The Official Mourning of Jerome Boateng
But that's the thing. He didn't get turned inside out. Messi walked past him and he simply fell on to the ground in slow motion, like a drunk losing his balance

It was already established in the DFB-Pokal match against Dortmund that Bayern players have severe problems with their balanceLex wrote:But that's the thing. He didn't get turned inside out. Messi walked past him and he simply fell on to the ground in slow motion, like a drunk losing his balance

Re: The Official Mourning of Jerome Boateng
I've seen Messi perform trickier runs in his own 18 yard box. If that's all it takes to bamboozle Boateng, then I question his defensive capabilities tbh

If you think that is that bad then I suppose CR at his young days embasrrsing Ashley Cole at his peak makes him a worse fb. Some people here have never kicked a football in their lives clearly.

Re: The Official Mourning of Jerome Boateng
Actually, if I recall, Cole pocketed Cronaldo like a snooker ball pretty much every time the two met, You must mean that ONE time Cole slipped...
Even then, it was still a slip. Boateng simply gave up on life

Re: The Official Mourning of Jerome Boateng
He tries to get a touch on the ball on the assumption that Messi goes left, after that it's too late to come back anymore, there is too much momentum.

One of the funniest things I've ever seen.
Boateng you muppet, you got humiliated in front a worldwide audience LMAO. He'll never live that down.
