Re: Bale for Sale
He might be going to Chelsea when Hazard goes the other way and I used to think that would be an OK outcome for Chelsea, but I'm starting to think it would be stupid of Chelsea to take him.

He can't speak a lick of Spanish after six years. Its either the PL or MLS for him. Could see him going to Man Utd after they deport Sanchez.

Real Madrid's problem isn't their players, it's their toxic stupid fucking entitled fans.
Imagine the whole stadium booing and whistling of one of their own when he's subbed, in a home Clasico. WTF is wrong with them.

He makes sense for Chelsea. Pulisic, Bale, Higuain for next season.

bale didn't start in the last cdr game where the team got destroyed. not a fan of his, but i'm not sure why it seems the blame is all on him. he was terrible yesterday so was everyone else. he is a problem, not the problem.....i do agree we should sell him, but not just him

He's been under a lot of scrutiny recently, with both Ancelotti and Zidane revealing how he complained to Florentino Perez as soon as he didn't start, back during his worst season for us under Ancelotti, as well as when Zidane finally put him on the bench. I won't excuse how RM's fans abuse him when he doesn't play well, but he seems to feel quite entitled to start, without having to prove that he's good enough to do so. He's a great athlete with obvious qualities, but a lot of the time, he simply doesn't make himself useful to the team.
The hand gesture and reluctance to celebrate with the rest of the team when he scored a penalty, just the other week, didn't sit well with fans either. He seems like quite a humble guy, based on the interviews I've seen from him, but ineffective and lackluster performances, coupled with his well documented demand to always be in the starting eleven, doesn't make him a very likeable player among fans right now. If he wants to start, he needs to prove to the coach that he deserves to do so. Scoring wonder goals in the Champions League goes a long way in doing so, but it doesn't quite compensate for the lack of tracking back, and the largely ineffective contributions overall. Impact players belong on the bench, and I can't confidently say that he's even that, at the moment.

Stupid, entitled fans? Gonna paraphrase you whenever people discuss Bayern affairs: don't talk about things you don't know anything about. And considering you're quoting me, I gonna assume I fall in said category and I can say with certainty: I ain't stupid nor entitled. Nor are the Bernabeu faithful.
They ain't booing Bale because he is the villain of the day, he got booed because he has been fucking shit all season. And who the fuck is Bale? Zidane got it, became a legend anyway. Raul got it, became a legend anyway? Guti got it, he turned out alright. Both Ronaldo's got it, both turned out to be iconic/legendary depending on who you talk to. Again, who the fuck is Bale? This is Real Madrid, it's a hard club with a very demanding fan base. If he wants pampering, go to England where they forgive all manners of sins unless you are Sterling lol.
Seriously, Bale can fuck off to wherever. Thanks for the goals, the memories (both the great and not so great) but this season was suppose to be the season he stepped up and the only step up he made is probably going under par in his golfing.

Re: Bale for Sale
like bayern fans didn't boo robben, in a friendly for that matter or effenberg didn't give german fans the finger for whistling him at the world cup. whether we like it or not , every big team in footy has those moments. its not something i'd do, i would rather leave the game early as my team's getting their ass handed to them byy eternal rivals than waste energy yelling at the squad, but it happens. and not just in football, knicks fans wore brown paper bags on their faces
i know we haven't brought this up, and whilst some of bale's actions cannot be excused,(i don't know how i feel about him leaving the stadium. i was at home watching us get our asses kicked by barca for a second time and even i wanted to leave my own home) am i the only one who felt the marcelo and courtois sound bites where unnecessary?
i don't know the context of it but it didn't do anyone any favors, not themselves nor bale

In a rare loss of composure from Doc (and understandably so) it was indeed a reply to a post that clearly knows little of how Real Madrid works and the expectations that have driven them to have 13 CL titles to which in comparison to the rest is an absurd number.
Yes their fans from Ultras Sur to their general populace are highly unimpressive vocally and rather a sulky bunch in their lack of flair in the terrific stadium that holds them but expectations have soared and Gareth Bale was not exactly vital to any of their recent Champions League as the Liverpool tie last year was won by that point and its been mostly years of him with flash in the pan performances and clearly the idea that Cristiano held him back (lo behold) or that he deserves far more than what is getting.
This is nowhere near the player that stunned us on occasion in London and quite frankly has looked out of his depth every La Liga game I have watched unless he uses his once blistering pace to which has eroded by injuries and the dumbfounding idea that gaining muscle will add anything to his game outside of just weighing him down.
So how has he evolved? He has not.
Bear in mind this was originally a leftback who was converted into a LW by Redknapp and a prospect originally us Milanisti moaned at the thought of getting during our Favalli days,
& his lack of technique outside of his shooting is evident and a clear sign of a FB converted into a winger.
Will not even speak of his minimal Spanish learned in basically 6 years of living in the country. Total peasant.

If you lose a player like hazard this summer, you would need players like Bale even short term to successfully transition to the point where your young player can consistently perform at a high level no?
If you just start the season with Pulisic and Odoi, and no other class senior player, they will flop

And he's under contract until 2022
I suppose Chelsea or United might be feeling desperate enough to sign him. Might be another Alexis Sanchez case, though.

Re: Bale for Sale
Bale and his agent keep saying they want to stay in Madrid.
Zidane just made it plain and clear that Bale will never play again for him.
The media say that Zidane is not nice for denying him a chance to say goodbye but if it was up to Bale he would continue picking up his cheque doing nothing
he needs to get the fck outta madrid

Why does he need to do that? He has a contract, if the man wants to stay he should be able to stay.

The remaining time of his contract is not exactly a big deal considering he actually needs to play and Zidane is not gonna play him. Unless he wants to live that Winston Bogarde life.
They'll come to an agreement though, sure of it.

Re: Bale for Sale
bale wants to leave madrid, he has wanted to leave since that final against pool. but with the signing of lope and zizou's exit, that gave him a new lease of life. but he botched it with his form and injuries
he commands a huge wage bill, is getting older, has had constant problems with injuries, and knows the club wants him out. him nor his agent don't want to seem desperate, they hold very little cards when it comes to negotiating his wage bill with another club. my belief is, they want to give the idea, that they indeed want to stay, so its not like another club is doing them a favor by signing him, and in turn low balling him on his wage bill
but regardless of the picture they're trying to paint, being older, plagued with multiple injuries, and not wanted by current club does very little to help their cause in getting someone to pay what he earns right now....but yes, i believe, he does want to leave, ofcourse he wants out

Re: Bale for Sale
The fans don't want or like him, the coach is not playing him regardless, his teammates aren't exactly supporting him and no one has his corner outside his agent. Doubt even Flo is going to bat for him.
Sure, he can stay lol but those are conditions most folks would want to leave from.

Re: Bale for Sale
The number one concern of Bale is to continue making the same money that he is earning right now and this is why it's more likely that he gets loaned

he does want to leave. him and his agent are saying otherwise for reasons i made mention of in the earlier post. the way i see it, its all about his wage bill. they're trying desperately not to seem desperate to want out, and hold some cards at the negotiating table in my opinion

Lord Bayol quote from the dressing room
'I have a contract until 2022 for 17m net, they can pay me to play or pay me to play golf'
glad he's taking this stance
unreal disrespect to a club legend. Yes, legend. Huge reason for your CL success.

Re: Bale for Sale
he's basically been doing that for a large chunk of the time he's been here. getting injured and off golfing. in the long run, he really does not want to sit at home at 30 and play golf the next 3 years and expect to continue his career. he really does want to leave , and also wants potential suitors to know he wants to maintain that huge wage bill
btw the man has had well over 20 injuries and has missed a ton of games. if anything he may owe us some money. i here he still plays golf even when injured

He'll leave, sure of it. Footballers need to play and he is 29. He HAS to play and Zidane is gonna have him rot on the bench.

Re: Bale for Sale
without Bayol, no CL dominance the last few years, he's had a tremendous hand in defining your club identity in the modern era. If he doesn't qualify for a legendary figure, nobody does.
Also I do think he goes out on loan, you won't shift him, on loan and a club will pay some of his wages, like 35%. I'd take him for a season.

Re: Bale for Sale
I cannot emphasis anymore of the fact that he is not a legend. Most he'll be considered is the tier just below legendary but he isn't a legend. Though PL fans would mouth that off for a while despite watching, at most, 7 Madrid games all season.
