Apparently, Neymar has scored once, and Suarez didn't, in their only face-off with Neuer.

I'm predicting a choke show not just for Messi, but our latino attack altogether against the big conceited german.
If the goals come for us, they 'll be from elsewhere.

Despite his boisterous comments, Neuer has nothing to be ashamed of honestly. Very little he could do about any of the goals and without him, it could've been much much worse for Bayern. Had an imperious first half.

Fair enough. I just picture Casillas or Buffon trying to save that and I think even they would've probably had issues with it. Very debatable though, surely.

It was very similar to the goal Messi scored in the 2011 CL final in the sense I think it took the keeper by surprise. I thought he was either going to go for the curler or play a ball in behind, so taking such a quick shot for the near corner must have caught Neuer off guard.

The first goal is quite unsavable too. Messi shot is powerful and, unlike 2011 CL final, very close to the post. Neuer reacts fast but can't reach it. He was well positioned too, because Messi was quite central and if he had been more close to the near post, he would have been beaten easily at the far post by Messi.

dont understand why people saying Neuer could have done better for first goal. what better?? the shot was unpredictable. I think its not unusual for him to think and get mentally prepared for the curling shot at far post. the goal came with a surpsie and very quickly.

People only think Neuer could have saved it because it was the near post. For some reason people think all shots at the near post should be saved no matter what. I dont get it myself but its been said for as long as I can remember.

It was a great shot. Neuers positioning was excellent. He was closer than VDS was in 2011. It was just a hard and accurate shot. Gary Neville is as good as an English pundit can be which isn't saying much.
