Team: Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Sakho, Henderson, Allen, Moreno, Sterling, Lallana, Coutinho, Sturridge.
Subs: Jones, Johnson, Toure, Gerrard, Leiva, Lambert, Balotelli.
I cant understand what is the plan with those subs

Yeah, they don't go that well together. Can't imagine us bringing on both Johnson and Toure or both Gerrard and Lucas or both Lambert and Balotelli. Should have had Markovic there instead of Lucas or Lambert.

Re: Liverpool v Manchester United
Gah they dominated most of that half. But for all the huff and puff they created one chance and they scored it.
Lallana HOW THE *bleep* DID YOU MISS THAT CHANCE?
Moreno AWFUL. God I wish Markovic was on the bench.
Allen and Hendo also really bad.
We're getting killed in midfield. Maybe bring on Lucas or switch the tactics like vs Swansea.

Also how the *bleep* did Hendo not get that throughball to Lallana right. He had like 5 seconds of time to make taht pass and there was absolutely nobody watching Lallana who should have been through.

Re: Liverpool v Manchester United
Oh man, we've been so shit
United's high line & high pressing are killing us. Reminds me of the away game to Burnley. We just can't get the ball up effectively. Coutinho and Lallana are having to pick it up in our own half
In recent games, Moreno has been rather poor, but he's having an absolutely disastrous game here...
45 minutes left to save our season?

Allen and hendo...lacking the balls really. I have no idea what they have in mind, they simply are struggling to keep composure

We cannot afford to lose here. Our next match is Arsenal. WE HAVE TO at the very least NOT LOSE.

Re: Liverpool v Manchester United
a draw would be great but if we score early, we can take it to them. Also I would take Moreno off, bring Balo on because that would disrupt their pressing and give us tactical advantage imo.

We've *bleep* bottled it, we've *bleep* bottled it.
Never in my life have i been so disappointed in the fact i was right.
Rodger's changes still had us in the game, and Gerrard wow, FML how the *bleep* did he come on and do that, FML, he *bleep* up so bad, he adds nothing to the squad, he adds nothing.

really sad the way we lost...i mean specially Gerrard earning a red card. So we have to hope now that ManUtd will lose points somewhere else

Re: Liverpool v Manchester United
I'll have to post another time about my feelings on our own team. Don't get me wrong from this post, we didn't deserve to win that game - our first half was shocking, and I have NO idea what Gerrard was thinking. Absolutely stunning.
That being said, it's very difficult to play football when the other team has clear license to deliberately attempt to injure your players regularly, knowing they won't get cards. Jones' first tackle on Allen deserved a yellow; the tackle on Henderson was a clear red by itself; and the dive on Balotelli was despicable. Rooney intentionally tried to take Mignolet out of the game, and people have the gall to talk about Skrtel getting suspended for the play at the end of the game. Fellaini could've had several yellows, and Di Maria didn't even get a card for intentionally catching the ball within the pitch?
This was the most one sided refereeing performance I've seen in a long time, and it's absolutely unbelievable.

Re: Liverpool v Manchester United
Let's stop looking for other people to blame, we played shit house first half and got punished, we continued our Blackburn and Swansea form and got punished.
Gerrard comes on and tries to be hero and *bleep* our season yet again.
The ref wasn't good, but he wasn't why we lost.

I agree. I said it at the start of my post, but I understand why it would seem like I'm just saying that for lip service. We weren't good enough to win the game, I'm just pissed at the ref right now so lashing out. Once I calm down a little I can put my thoughts in coherent order as to our performance. I'm sorry for ranting.

The Ref was shit, and your on point there, but my anger won't ever be with him if we don't make the top 4.
Today was a momentum killer and were 100% shoe ins to lose next week, season over.

0-2 or 1-2 to the Mancs.
We'll go down to ten men early on and they'll capitalize.
Got is spot on.

Re: Liverpool v Manchester United
Nothing on Atkinson here, the ref had a good game.
We got tactically beaten so bad in the first-half, it was like against Sean Dyche at Turf Moor. Press the 3-4-3 up high and out-number the midfield and there you go, we get nothing done. Sturridge was left completely useless and United had an extra man in midfield while we had an extra man in the back-three. They took the initiative and exploited it to perfection.
It really doesn't get worse than going on an unbeaten run in the league only for that run to be sandwiched between two losses to Man United who by the courtesy of those points have pipped us to the top-4.
Anyway, my Man of the Match is easily Gerrard, stomped his authority on the game right after coming on.

Re: Liverpool v Manchester United
We had all the players we needed to win, but we lost tactically. If you press the 3-4-3 high up as a team, you will outnumber the midfield and isolate the striker. The three center-backs will have trouble finding passes to midfield, because the midfield is being pressed tightly. We actually played better in the 2nd half with 10 men, because we were forced to deploy another system, one that United weren't tactically prepared to counter, so we found more space.
I really hope this performance encourages Rodgers to use other formations than just the 3-4-3 if it's not working, because the signs are starting to be there that teams are learning to play against it. First it was Sean Dyche and now Van Gaal who clearly countered the 3-4-3 with intention and success.
