Wasn't his fault. Carlo's subs took the forwards out of the game.

because like the rest of the attackers he didn't get one succesful pass, cross or combination done in the last 25 minutes.

I think he's quite decent at headers in the box too, but that's about it.

Masch is a great player and I hate Busquets but Mash can't play the DM role in this system in big games. He just can't link play like Busquets. He is great with the dirty work etc and can run all day but that is not all that is asked of him in this system.

LOL at everyone who thought we overpaid for Mathieu at 20 mill. It just shows the ignorance of people who don't watch La Liga yet want to comment on it. With all the money teams waste on defenders that eventually don't fit there system Mathieu was a nice buy IMO, not just because he scored but he brings a ton to this team we really needed. Ball control, passing, speed, height, physicality, helps on set plays for and against and he's a very good defender.

As for the comments on Bale I agree he was bad tonight but he gets way too much hate. It's as if people forget two trophies he had a bigger hand than Ronaldo in winning last year for this club. It's pretty obvious he's just overshadowed by Ronaldo, they are similar and if Bale was the focal point of the attack instead of Ronaldo I think things would be different.

I would take Bale all day and twice on Sunday, one could argue outside of Ronaldo's half chance he took which was all Benz BTW that Ronaldo was ineffective as well, missing a chance from 2 feet out.

Of course Ronaldo is better than Bale they just don't play well together. And for being great players they allow themselves to marked out of games way too easily.

Bale has already paid off for Madrid with the La Decima etc. I always say this but I really don't get why people make a big deal out of his or anyone elses purchase price under Flo Perez.

I'm sure they have basically already recouped his fee as Perez is a genius in thaou win La Decima t area. People always bring it up but it really doesn't make any difference.

If you asked any Madrid fan, "Would you pay 100 mill for Bale if he brings you La Decima plus being one of the better players in the world to a man everyone would have said yes."

Again, it's obvious he would be better served to play in a team built around him. He was down right awesome for Spurs before he left as he wasn't just placed out on the wing and asked to be a speed threat. He was great from set pieces, link up play, goals from all over the place etc. His role on this team is basically to occupy the wing opposite Ronaldo and be a distraction from what I can see. Of Course he's struggling. People basically say all he can do is run fast, that's just not true, we have seen what the guy can do but he and Ronaldo are like oil and water.
