Argument for trueborn: The amount of times Jon is called a King (ex. Mormont's raven etc)

Argument for bastard: Polygamy was not allowed by the law of the seven, so even if Rhaegar married Lyanna, their marriage is invalid and Jon remains a bastard.

Is there a rivalry between the Reach and Dorne? Both houses were loyal to the Targaryens during Robert's rebellion. If Dany or Aegon(?) ever cross the narrow sea, what would the Alliances look like? Could we see Tyrells and Martells become allies under the same (or both?) Targaryen?

If Aegon does become a huge factor in future books, how are they (or will they) write him into the TV series?

There is a rivalry in the books yes. Aegon is not coming to the TV series at all, if he does become a huge factor they will probably cut out his entire storyline and put it to Dany's. Most people believe Aegon will conquer Westeros and Dany will then take it from him. In the show, probably Dany herself will conquer Westeros.

What about the proposed marriage between Arianne Martell and Aegon? That would ally Dorne with the Targaryens.

If its only Dany in the TV show who conquers Westeros, how will, or will Dorne ally with her?

Where do you see the Tyrells? Will they keep their alliance with the Lannisters and fight against Dany? The Tyrells were Targeryen loyalists, would they switch sides and rejoin them?

Speaking about show only here.

I think Dorne will join Daenerys and there will be no Quentyn incident to break them up, when Tyrion mentions all the great families that will oppose her he doesn't mention the Martells. How will it happen? Ellaria forced Doran's hand by killing Myrcell, Doran has no other way to go but oppose the Lannister/Tyrell alliance by joining with Daenerys since they can't do anything alone. Daenerys will accept because House Martell stayed loyal to Aerys.

The Tyrells may try to jump ship but their luck will finally run out, I would be surprised if they are not wiped out by the end of the series and the Reach will be controlled by some other house, Tarly maybe since they are becoming more prominent in S6.

Yeah, what most probably will happen in the books is Dorne will be pro Aegon and Anti Dany because of the Aegon-Arianne marriage and Quentyn burning incident. Unsure about the Tyrells, they are in the midst of a power struggle with the Lannisters. They basically want the throne for themselves with them ruling and Tommen "Barratheon" the puppet king.

Ok, thanks for that.

Also, are the Blackfyres important to the current storylines in the book?

The TV show seems to have omitted their history altogether which doesn't seem to affect anything.

Well, there is a theory that Aegon is actually a Blackfyre. But that's just it, a theory. After the last rebellion was put down they were confirmed to be extinct in the male line.

Apparently we are getting 8 seasons plus a prequel. So we cut Aegon, the iron islands, the north remembers, and the bwb for nothing Laughing

The Robert 's Rebellion prequel would be awesome though

Read 2 more chapters after a long time.

Both were kind of meh. Jon brought a giant back to the Night's Watch after taking a few new recruits to say the words by the tree gods. And Dany going over her wedding plans and then *bleep* Daario at the end. Very meh I have to say.

GRRM always said Jon's parentage will be revealed at the last book. Even in his original outline of the series which got leaked a few months back said Jon will find out about his parentage in the last book. Maybe he will reveal it in TWOW to overtake the show but I doubt he will release it before season 6.

Well when he said three books it was supposed to be a trilogy. It stands to reason that book 6 of 7 falls in the last third.

So from interviews we got over the last one or two weeks I highly doubt we get twow before season 6 airs and I doubt books and show will have a lot in common in the future. Doubt they'll have the same ending either.

No doubt that we won't get TWOW before S6 but with 8 seasons all but confirmed I struggle to see how they won't have the same ending. All the major players bar fAegon are in, whose invasion is getting replaced by the real Targaryen.

GRRM isn't even sure about the ending yet and Benioff for example said "Even while we talk to him about the ending, it doesn’t mean that that ending that he has currently conceived is going to be the ending when he eventually writes it."
GRRM is changing stuff all the time while he's writing it for all we know. He's just not one of those authors who know what they're going for right from the beginning. I guess that's why it takes so long to write it all aswell. From what he said about the ending so far I doubt he's really sure about what he's going to do.

Of course they could still have the same ending. Just a feeling that they won't. Well and obviously I could be completely wrong and he knows exactly what's going to happen hmm

If Ian McShane plays Septon Meribald then we'll have McShane/McCann duo on screen

Many characters we haven't heard in a while returning, Sandor Clegane, Walder Frey (with him Edmure surely), The Greatjon, Yara, Balon, Rickon, possibly The Blackfish or Beric Dondarrion leading those gone-bad-BWB members etc... all these on top of new characters Euron, Randyll Tarly, female-Moqorro, Septon Meribald, expanded Doran Martell will make for an exciting season.

Need some confirmation for Gendry, all the other Baratheons are dead...

Meribald was such a tiny role in the books, I hope McShane has a bigger role. That would be a massive waste of talent.

We can tell you, however, that sources say McShane has a relatively small amount of screen-time during the season, yet his character is of key importance.

This was from Entertainment Weekly who got the news. If he is Septon Meribald he will interract with Sandor Clegane and possibly Jaime Lannister, it would be truly awesome.

I think he will play either Meribald or one of the Northern Lords, possibly Wyman Manderly. I expect Euron/Randyll to have more screentime.
