Re: La Liga 2014/15 Discussion N. Tres
The race for 3rd and 4th is interesting. All of Valencia, Atleri and Sevilla are within a couple of points of eachother. Valencia have an advantage in the sense that they are free from other competitions. Both Sevilla and Atleti will be playing in Europe next week so will probably need to rest some of their starters
Villarreal look safe for 5th place as they are too far off 4th but comfortably ahead of 6th placed Malaga

Villarreal are 6th and Sevilla are 5th. Sevilla are only 3 points off 4th. Malaga (7th) are 5 points behind Villarreal and Sevilla 8 points ahead.

I think he meant 6th when he was talking about Villareal

Really hope Sevilla can finish above Atleti. Rather them in the CL. Atleti just makes every match horrible to watch.
Valencia will be a force next year in the CL imo.

For that to happen RG, Rodrigo, Paco, Negredo and Feghouli need to start scoring more. They have like 10 goals between them or something.

The Valencia coach likes to rotate alot. Paco doesn't start many games and Rodrigo plays as a winger for them. Feghouli was never a scorer to begin with
I think they need to improve their finishing alittle but other than that they are just fine offensively
Sevilla and Atleti are cut out of the same cloth, both are horrendous to watch and play. Give me Valencia and Villarreal any day

Honestly thought Moyes might pull a masterclass. But Atletico are 2-0 up at HT. Both goals were easily avoidable as well. Sociedad GK is a massive scrub.
Still time for the great comeback.

I think the thrill to know which half of the table belonging after every match is more exciting .
Basically all would love to be in place of Inter and Newcastle fans this year IMHO.

Sevilla leading Levante 2-0 at half-time. Goals from Gameiro and Reyes. Going for a fifth straight league win, and will be level on points with Valencia if they get it.
Athletic vs Valencia a big game tomorrow.

Just the usual deep defensive/counter-attacking style that they play away from home. Banega was rested today, too. No point in trying to keep the ball for long when the midfield is Krychowiak, Carrico and Iborra.

I see. Good win though. Keeping up the pressure.
Looking at the fixtures. Both Madrid and Barca will have to come to Sevilla. Two games which will be equally important for all 3 teams. Apart from them, Sevilla have a relatively decent fixture list till the end of the season.

Sevilla last 6 games: 5 wins, 1 draw, 13 goals scored, 4 conceded. Unbeaten at home all season. Dahell are they so good all of a sudden? Atleti 2.0.

Another fraud from La Farcia. Bojan, Cuenca, Rafinha, Montoya, Bartra, Tello, Deuscrubfeo etc. Still the biggest myth in football.

On a serious note it's funny that Barca fans believe that every player from Barca B is the new Xavi, Iniesta,Messi...

It's revisonism at its finest. The holier than thou BS that Laporta and Barca PR spun while Pep was there. Even that moron Shakira was saying if the world was like Barcelona there would be peace, or something daft along those lines. La Masia is a decent youth academy. For every Xavi they produce they give us 5 Cuencas.

Re: La Liga 2014/15 Discussion N. Tres
i dont think anyone in the barca section in this forum has said that la masia will produce another messi every year..
not only would that be complete stupidity but incredibly unrealistic.
you guys make fun of the fact that we produce players such as cuenca or tello etc etc.
those guys play in division 1 football, they are still young for all we know they can still develop.
but that is besides the point, we aim to produce good players, we praise la masia because we produced in the last 15 or so years players like xavi, iniesta, messi, pique, buscuit, puyol etc. the other players that don't make it as big, still play in la liga or epl etc etc..
which is pretty remarkable.
if you don't find that to be a good youth system then find me one better.

Re: La Liga 2014/15 Discussion N. Tres
jibs and valk: I'm sorry, that's bullchit. New Messis, Xavis, Iniestas are obviously not easy to produce. But just because Bartra is not the next Maldini doesn't mean he won't be a decent player. He's already consistently getting called up for the national team. Full success. It means no one else in Spain is producing anything better. He can be a Barca starter, even if he doesn't turn into a historic player.
Montoya and Rafinha would be good players for midtable teams, Rafinha last season on loan was already one of the best Celta players for example and he's just a kid with lots of room to improve still (just not a central midfielder). He can become a Cazorla type player in a few years even if he won't turn into world class Barca material.
Even Bojan was Stoke's MVP before his injury.
The dos Santos brothers are good players.
Bellerin at Arsenal?
Thiago is a huge talent, better than Isco, has the same dribbling ability and skills but can also actually pass from deep like a proper central midfielder. Will easily be world class.
That's more than decent enough even if not "next Messi, Xavi, Iniesta" stuff. Most academies don't even produce Rafinha level players. Which Real Madrid youth midfielder is at that level for example? And then there are still huge talents like Samper who might break through within the next 2 seasons. He's already impressed with the first team.
