Post by S Wed May 06, 2015 11:44 am

It’s reported that Juventus’ Paul Pogba has rejected a massive contract to join Paris Saint-Germain.

The French midfielder is seen as one of the best young players in Europe, and has repeatedly been linked with a move away from the Turin giants.

PSG’s President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has already confirmed that he met with Pogba, and Gianluca Di Marzio’s website is now reporting that a huge offer was made.

The site claims that the Ligue 1 side offered the former Manchester United midfielder a deal worth €15m per season to make the move to the French capital.

However, it’s believed that the 22-year-old rejected the proposal.

The player’s agent, Mino Raiola, said yesterday that ‘all the big clubs’ are interested in his client, and Di Marzio’s site says Chelsea and Barcelona are still in the hunt, as well as Real Madrid.

Reckon it's more to do with the fact he knows better teams are after him tbh.

Rejecting an offer in early May isn't the same as rejecting an offer in late August when all the cards have been laid on the table, just saying.

Pogba only is dispossessed 1.8 times per game in CL matches though. Which means he can adapt being more cautious in bigger games, instead of trying more in lower profile Serie A games where he can lose the ball with less danger.

On the other hand, Malexis Sanchez is in top 4 in league and in CL, the fraud.

He didn't reject it...  he deferred his decision, which is a temporary rejection that could become permanent.  He's going to look at all his options first.

Zidane had a 1v1 meeting with him so, if true (and it's not the first Zidane/Pogba story; just the most recent one), i guess that tells you what Madrid is thinking:  http://futbol.as.com/futbol/2015/05/06/champions/1430907810_473450.html

but Paul Pogba is fine in Torino , he is rated as a king in Torino , so he hasn't  really problem to stay.
Raiola is the man to push for the selling , because he 'd earn so much from this , it is his job ...
City would give him a salary that Juve migh not give him.
if City really offers so much I don't have idea why Juve should keep him anyway
Pogba   surely great but Juve is winning also without him ( Tevez is the real difference maker in this Juve) and every player has a price, even Zidane, there are not unsellable players, it ' d be a problem for other Serie  teams if Juve gets a   gigantic offer for Pogba ( considering you can't keep him forever ...) + all this CL money  ... you can create a team definitely stronger than this

At the moment, there's absolutely no indication that he wants to leave.Marotta stated that a few days ago.

If he asks to leave though,Juve wont stop him.

There are lot of clubs lining up to try and sign him so we can be certain that this will be nothing short of a world record transfer.Win-win situation in the end.

Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta says the club wants to keep Paul Pogba - ‘our goal is not to weaken the team’.

The French midfielder has been linked with clubs across Europe, with the player’s agent Mino Raiola saying this week that ‘all the big clubs are interested’.

“Our goal is not to weaken the team, but to strengthen it,” Marotta told Mediaset.

“Pogba is someone we want to keep, not sell.”

The Bianconeri are having an extraordinary season, with Serie A already won, a Coppa Italia final to play and the Champions League final within reach.

Despite this, Marotta says a new contract for Coach Massimiliano Allegri will only be discussed at the end of the season.

“He’s intelligent and capable, a winner who has won the Scudetto and reached the Coppa Italia final, he’s doing an extraordinary job.

“I’m against having a Coach who’s contract is expiring, we want to make sure there is serenity and trust, and the extension is a formal act which we’ll do when we’ve finished with our important commitments.

“After the Coppa Italia and the Champions League, that’s when we’ll meet and talk about the contract, and only then. Allegri has done an outstanding job.”

I somewhat agree with you that if we sell paul we can improve the team. However i think if we keep our midfield as it is and add a creative player a real difference maker such as firmino isco etc( those are just examples not necessarily players we can get)+ keep pereyra who is doing an excellent job we can build a team around Paul and 1-2 players here or there and will be up there consistently with the madrids, barca's and psgs. I think honestly....... all we need is a proper left back and a CAM and we are CL Q/F's and S/F regulars. If we get this Dybala kid Tevez can play behind dybala and morata in the champions league and that front 3 is pretty good on paper. We have been linked with Kurzawa as a left back option and Darmian who can  play right back also. With Dybala and Kurzawa/darmian you can do alot with the squad.

As a fan I hope what i suggested is the route we take not only because keeping Pogba will give us chances of winning the CL for years to come but re-building is risky and doesn't always pay off

I would like to see him stay at Juve tbh, Pogba-Vidal-Marchisio with an explosive attacking midfielder in front of them would be stuff of FIFA/PES dreams hmm

Basically the way i see our team with Allegri in charge is a Milan 03-07 style set up lacking that kaka/rui costa sort of midfielder. Pereyra is good but he is no superstar that has that X factor. However i believe in tevez that much i think he could do a very good job as a Cam next season. He will be off to boca in 2016 so we really should be looking for that top midfielder.  We could play some sort of variation of a front 3 like Napoli had with hamsik-lavezzi-cavani.

Also if we get Dybala he could turn out to be a versatile attacker capable of playing as a wing/forward hybrid or Cam..... we will see

That's not true.  The only thing that's making him put PSG behind others is that his family has told him to stay away if money/opportunity is the same somewhere else...  his entourage would be too big at Paris since all his family and all his childhood friends live in Paris.  BUT, if nobody else offers him the same money, he'd go to PSG.  Canal +, RMC and Le Parisien have reported this multiple times.

Think what you want...  but nobody refuses 3x net the wages that you are currently making if no other option comes up.

As far as FFP...  Lavezzi, Motta, one of Ibra or Cavani (depending if Ibra goes to MLS) are gone this summer.  If Pogba is bought, one of Cabaye or Rabiot would go too.  Add that to the 48 million and it's plenty.  They're targeting an up and coming striker to back up one of Ibra or Cavani as opposed to having two clashing players there.

Ibra would be in his last contract year next season and no extension is being offered... so the rumor is that he may very well take a massive offer from the MLS.

I never understood sportsczy why do you push for Ligue 1 so much? I remember it was the same with Vidal. You sold Pogba last summer to PSG like 200 times, I don't get it...
