Not denying the general furore towards the leaky borders but you can just throw numbers around on a whim ffs

That's the thing with tv election. All stats are made up.

None of these leaders are convincing on anything.

They are being asked questions on one thing, they somehow divert it in talking about something else.

Nigel has a point regarding people from the former "communist" countries coming into the UK because they got a 10th of the wages in their own countries like Rumania for example.

That needs to change of course by having the same system as Canada were benefit payments stop after a few months and told to leave if you cant find a job

I think the problem is the time constraints rg. They are only given 30 secs. You can't make a convincijg argument in such small time. 1 minute would've been better

At least it's good to see Natalie Bennett being strong. She has debated quite well.

Wish Leanne would start talking more about UK as a whole and not just Wales. I know she is aware that she is not getting any votes from outside Wales but this is just making her a bit difficult to take.

Which is a shame because she has been spot on with most things.

UK 2015 Elections - Page 5 Empty Re: UK 2015 Elections

Post by Tomwin Lannister Fri Apr 03, 2015 1:26 am

Had a random night out and missed this, I hope Cameron had some banter.

And Farage is an idiot but some immigration stuff is spot on, and I don't see why we should let immigrants come in and claim benefits at all. And I watched that Ross Kemp doc about people sneaking in on trucks via France it's ridiculous.

If somebody is caught trying to smuggle themselves in, they get removed and told to *bleep* off because they can't put them in holding cells they don't have the resources it's ridiculous.

Need to short up borders big time.

I think the problem has always been their inability to send them back when the culprit so conveniently "loses" their passport/other documents so the uk border agency can't remove them and can't hold them in cells until they get that sorted with their country and they have to let them in, in the hope the culprit is nice enough to go and get a paper stamped when they can just dissappear into the country with no trace. I have seen on programmes that some stay here for nearly 20 something years before they are found by chance and the same happens again and so on and so forth

Post by Lex Fri Apr 03, 2015 4:44 pm

As usual, everyone laying in to Farage, yet everything he said last night was bang on the money and people are finding it hard to swallow today. Why should this country treat people coming in who are already sick because they don't want to pony up in their country? Why should we use newly built homes to house people coming over here, half of which shouldn't even be here in the first place? In fact, why should we settle for almost 1/3 of a million people coming here annually without so much as a background check, penny to their name or skill to put back into the community?

Ukip won't win the election for the next 3 elections at least but conservative need their help this election to prevent Labour getting a majority or the most votes. The biggest achievement of Ukip this election will be getting more seats in the parliament to prevent people treating them as a fad and more as a serious party

This race looks as close as you can get. Don't think either of Labour and Conservative will win a majority, they are going to need to rely on SNP and UKIP respectively to peel away support from one another and form a coalition with them if it got to that

With Sturgeon coming out and saying Cameron is much of a leader than Milliband, things will get awkward if Labour wins and have to form a coalition with the SNP.

Think conservatives are going to edge the elections. Despite Milliband coming out strong against Cameron in the debate, people are going to vote for Cameron purely because he has that personality.

Ed displayed far more passion, though. Plus, he's shown he's willing to sacrifice his own brother for what he believes in. Even Dean Winchester isn't that ruthless
