That category is championed by bale and PEA.

The problem with gervinho and salah is their end product tbh.

I don't agree. Gervinho really lacks ball control, If you follow Roma you'll notice this that's why defenders win the duels with ease. He is the best weapon for counter attacks on that I can agree.

I guess time will tell.

2nd place has become the poison pill for this side and with Juve out of sight and Napoli too slow to take advantage already of the draws, they don't feel any pressure.

We need to have 2nd place taken from us for this gray streak to be snapped, I'd say. Not a coaching problem, not a tactical problem, not a transfer problem. Today confirmed this is all purely mental.

What was different today tactically from the other Roma games?

Hard to tell honestly, but the name of the game today appeared to be: get the ball to Gervinho. The problem is, Gervinho has been found out. He's no longer unpredictable. Combine that with not allowing Totti space to find him with Pjanic too busy playing 1-2 side-passes with Keita and you have the crux of our attacking problem.

I agree, I just wanted to hear an opinion from Romanista Thumbs up

Biabiany was always  a scrub who got overrated for 5 minutes after playing well for  a handful of games.

using him as a benchmark to predict the future of proven and tested  commodities like Gervinho ( national team , ligue 1 , Euope ) and Salah  ( CL/ Europa league ) is an insult to these players .

I don't now why is it so difficult to understand.

I'm not saying that they get found out to be garbage player.Their speed trick gets found out and and success rate of it get lower.I don't know where you found me comparing ability of Biabiany to ability of Gervinho or Salah.

You just read what you would like to read.

i don't get what's so hard to understand in what i posted  either.

you brought up  Gervinho as one of the " speed merchants " who got found out after italian defenders supposedly adapted to his speed  .

i simply see this as a baseless claim since Gervinho was embarrassing defenders as recently as 3 months ago and doing it  as efficiently as he did  the first day he arrived in italy  18 months prior .

Gervinho and Salah aren't one trick pony type of players like Biabiany and wont be " found out " , and i'd bet they'll actually improve over the years in Serie A .

Well you pretty much just confirmed yourself what I've been saying Laughing

So if the guy has skills and technique he is world class? All the above players I mentioned are recognize by their speed and their good one on one. Lucas, Menez, Walcott, even Ribery and old man Pepe are fast players on the wing, period. Hell, any player playing at any top league would need to have more than speed to play. This is not Serie D. Ive mentioned like 15 players, yet you havent mentioned even one "speedy merchant with no technique and skills playing at a top league". I dont care whos WC or not, just stating who has more than speed.

You say Pedro is average, yet he is valued at least 15-20mil and would be a starring player for our Juve. Who says Gervinho HAS to win every one on one?

So Bale, a player which took Tottenham to CL and RM payed 100mil, was all down to him running fast and playing...wait for it....hoofball? Hahaha

You say only Ron and Bale are fast....take Mirallas and play him in Serie B or Serie C (or Chmship or below) and lets see how fast he would be in those leagues. And im saying Mirallss like i could say any of the other wingers ive mentioned.

As for Krasic, I couldnt care less what the majority in Juve section thinks about him. If he was off-form and "found out", he would have been sold for peanuts. A PROPER example of being "found out" would be Lord Amauri. Now that's the definition of found out while being at Juve.

And putting Di Maria, a traditional winger who became a CM in the past two years while comparing his attributes to Vidal that's just......

To sum it up, Speed Merchants who only run and dont have no skills only exist in your head, the same like when you said Vidal missed a penalty cuz "higher ups" wanted to spice up the italian serie a for tv money...

Your hate towards me is so strong. You named 15 players from which 14 aren't speed merchants, and you are defending your debate with one or two of them from which the first one is ok let's say a speed merchant and yes is a one trick pony relying on his speed (Bale) and the other one Wallcot who is nothing but above average football player who has 0 ball control and technique. As I said the term 'speed merchant' has different meaning for you and me. With this rate you could end up claiming that Pirlo is speed merchant Smile.

Laughing I've never seen you so defensive, I know you dislike me but this is awesome good job you just made me laugh, keep it up. Personal insults in a debate state the lacks of class and respect you have as a poster. And please don't let stupid things like this hate of yours make you end up banned Thumbs up?

(I underlined the sentence for you again maybe you won't be blinded by your hate this time and you'll see it, if not who cares)

Zola has been sacked, it seems likely that Zeman will return to see out the rest of the season. It should at least make Cagliari more enjoyable to watch again. I though they gave a spirited performance in their second half against Sampdoria after a poor start but they've been disappointing of late.

I knew the day they appointed him he'll end up sacked. I was watching closely to se if it will happen. I still think Zeman is a bad choice. He's the one putting them near the relegation in first place. But hey attack is the best defense so maybe that's the tactics to avoid the drop?

Inter's penalty against Napoli was the first time a penalty was awarded against Napoli in 53 league matches.

@Devi

Sorry, I meant winger, any winger has to have more than speed to play in that position in any of the top leagues. I also meant that these players I mentioned are not related if they are good, very good or WC, just different wingers from different team. To call a player like Bale a speedy merchant is honestly neglecting all the work he has done to get to RM. Only this season he has been off form.

All the players ive mentioned can rip apart any defense based on their speed and technique/skills/one on one. Im sorry, but I don't know any player whose sole quality is being speedy. Well maybe Freddy Adu :p.

It is not matter of manager tbh , just Tony Pulis can save Cagliari.
When a small team as Cagliari doesn't replace Astori and Nainggolan it happens.
Just Mazzarri could lose 1-4 at San Siro against them Mad
Cagliari will relegate easy as Parma already done, for relegation battle just the 16th place must be decided.
It will be a fight with Cesena ( definitely regenerated under Di Carlo ) , Atalanta  ( they 've just sacked Colantuono for Reja, but they weren't able to win not even against this Parma yesterday ) and Chievo ( solid with Maran , I think they will get saved also this year)
