You're somewhat quick to brash this off and make it seem as something , 'good' . You don't know what you could be facing down the road . And let's not forget opportunities on the market that you will miss during this period .

Re: CAS dismisses Barcelona's transfer ban appeal
No idea why they even appealed. Their justification was basically: "Okay, we've done what you're accusing us of but hey, we're actually very nice to the kids and more than a club, pls make an exception for us and reduce the ban from 2 windows to 1 (winter) transfer window when we wouldn't buy players anyway. Thanks."

Yeah, nothing good can come out of this. Practically it means Barca can't buy players until summer 2016. While officially the ban ends in winter 15/16, Barca caliber players usually don't move on in the winter transfer window or they would be Cup tied at best. 1 1/2 years is a long time in football and the squad already has deficiencies at rightback and central midfield RIGHT NOW. Not to mention opportunities like Reus who will most likely move on next summer for € 20M.

That's more or less what i was thinking . Agreed. That's quite a long time in football. And you never know how players will hold till then , any potential injury crisis , current issues as you said e.t.c
To attempt excusing any of this , in the name of any avoidable 'scrub' , no , i can't see the bright side in this. So , the youngsters are the only back up till then?

On the flip side, there's always the chance of someone showing up from the youth ranks (Haddadi, Sergi Roberto, Traore, etc). Though, inexperience might get the better of them. Dunno how the Alves situation will be resolved lol

Re: CAS dismisses Barcelona's transfer ban appeal
Hopefully messi doesnt sustain any injuries till then and el vampito doesnt get hungry, we should be okay to at least finish 4th next season, otherwise, we're in dip shit than we realise right now (lets not even talk about the ridiculous xavi, iniesta, biscuit, rakitic, douglas, alves, & verm situation amongst other la masia scrubs, S. Roberto et al).. On the flip side, at least, we now have enough excuse to loose all the classicos and every CL big game before then..*coffee*

Re: CAS dismisses Barcelona's transfer ban appeal
Why stop there,
Official: Barcelona announce in a statement that they could appeal to Switzerland's Federal Court against CAS decision confirming ban
Official: Liga admit other Spanish clubs could be in the same situation as Barcelona and announce they could take the case to European Union
Swiss Supreme Court confirms appeal against CAS decisions is possible, but state that scope of judicial review is very limited. [ara]

Are Barca that desperate? You'd think the summer would've been a better time to wake up and realize they were screwed, when you can actually do something about it

Re: CAS dismisses Barcelona's transfer ban appeal
lmao the desperation from the Barca board.
They could take their case to International Court of Justice and still it wouldn't work, they do not have any legal justification for their case.

Re: CAS dismisses Barcelona's transfer ban appeal
I don't know anyone that thought this was going to get through the appeals. Chronicle of an announced story.
Either way, I'm happy because it prevents Zubi from doing further harm to the team
