I was wondering how they had so many passes, the most I had for a player was like 12, then I realised that 2/3 of them were kickoffs .

I won 164 - 4 on the old Fifa world cup 2002 game
That was a full 90 minute match, too. I think Scholes scored like 60 goals, too

I only did it once, and I was like 10, give me a break

Lol I had a similar scoreline in 2006 FIFA World Cup. It indeed was tiring playing 90 minutes

I miss having the option, tbh. I'd do it again.

Uni says this prac is optional, have to analyse some .sis images that are posted on the uni's histology server. I skip (sleep in), turns out I can't access the images from home, so I get my prac partner at uni to download them. Turns out the software to analyse the .sis files is only available in the lab room, so he emails the files to me for me to do it. I download the software, open the files and ... connecting to histology server.
Which I clearly can't, what the point of that stupid file then?

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
Curious to hear the favorite novels of those in here. I have an idea of them for some of you as literature has come up as a topic before, but I bring it up again in an attempt to spur some conversation.
This comes out of an own conversation I was having with someone that reminded me of the novel Catcher in the Rye. I've read many great novels but that one continues to be my favorite. We'll see if it withstands the test of time, it has so far. Even if it is usurped someday, it will always be a nostalgic favorite of mine.
Never have I felt so deeply about a novel. I'm sure the context of the time I read it played into it deeply, but even now and then I go back and reread parts of it. My perspective has changed, I can't say I see Holden the same way I used to, but my feelings still roughly remain the same, I love the novel, and I still love Holden.

Most books by George Orwell. Probably 1984 is my favourite of them.
I wonder what Dostoevsky's favourite Dostoevsky book is...?

Favourite novel: Buddenbrooks by Thomas Mann. I haven't read it for a while though, so I can't comment on how my view of it has changed over the years.
As far as Dostoevsky goes, probably Brothers Karamazov but Demons is a very close second.

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
Never even heard of Buddenbrooks...I take it it's worth a look in, eh?
Still have yet to read Orwell past Animal Farm and 1984. I would love to read Homage to Catalonia when I can get around to it.
As far as 1984 goes...still torn on whether I prefer Brave New World or not.

I don't read many books, and only just started reading often last year.
So far my favourite would be either The Hobbit, or A casual vacancy by J.K. Rowling.

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
My favorites are The Hobbit/LOTR, Count Of Monte Cristo, Great Gatsby and the Harry Potter books. Since i grew up with HP it has a special place in my heart. Love me some Orwell too, Animal Farm was fantastic.
Also I never really liked Catcher In The Rye that much mainly because of Holden. The book is good but such a whiny protagonist was a turn off. Could not relate to such an unlikable character at all.
Also I am huge fan of A Song Of Ice And Fire and have to say A Storm Of Swords is a masterpiece. It's imo among one of the greatest fantasy books of all time.

Don't like Catcher in the Rye because had to do it for school, Hobbit was great but never read the rest, Harry Potter I read way too many times when I was younger .
