Re: Roberto Firmino
Sterling is being sold 100%. He's replacing Sterling. Won't be CF. Probably will play there only when needed (i.e. when Sturridge is crocked, and Origi turns out to be shit on a stick and we don't get Bacca/Rondon/Benteke).
- Spoiler:
- So yeah with our luck he'll be playing CF

with Sturridge being out so long and likely to get injured again, you really need another real striker.
Firmino is a good Sterling replacement, if City is really paying 50m-60m € or some shit for Sterling you've made a decent deal.

Re: Roberto Firmino
We've got Origi and Ings as 3rd and 4th choice as well. Even with the worst possible scenario the 2 are better than Balotelli, Lambert, and Borini.
And the idea is still to sign another CF for sure. Whether we actually get it done is another question.

Re: Roberto Firmino
Origi ahead of Ings despite never playing a single minute in the premier league and Ings scored 11 goals for *bleep* Burnley
Ings will be ahead of Origi for sure...and with Sturridge being in the medical room more then the training ground he will likely be your 2nd choice striker if firmino is being played as CF
4th choice

Re: Roberto Firmino
Every single reliable source (with relation to LFC) has stated that we have no intention of making a move for Kovacic this window, at all. The Kovacic thing is Gaston Ramirez all over again, with foreign media refusing to let go of a story they started without any actual basis to it.
In this window we're no in for Kovacic, we have not been in for Kovacic, and we will not be in for Kovacic. Only way this could possibly, conceivably change is if Inter come in for Lucas and are made enough to consider some bit-part swap of Lucas+cash or something, in which case we'd need a new midfielder and could work something out. Won't happen though.
Now please, back on topic.

Re: Roberto Firmino
I really doubt that Patrick Herrmann will leave anywhere at the moment. He's so happy that he finally gets regular playing time (Lulu originally putting him onto the bench ever so often really didn't make him happy) that he won't go anywhere where he'd be benched again.Don't call me James wrote:Also getting Bundi players before Klopp arrives Dat Patrick Herrmann, Bernd Leno, and Kevin Volland next ffs

The Liverpool Echo's website has an eery resemblance with the Daily Mirror website though. More than can be coincidence

It depends whether you are reading their gossip column (usually dominated my Mirror, Metro etc.) or their exclusive columns/news.Hapless_Hans wrote:The Liverpool Echo's website has an eery resemblance with the Daily Mirror website though. More than can be coincidence

We've just spunked our replacement money already. And Sterling doesn't want to play under a fool that will take us no where really so we naturally just want to get rid.
It's funny because if City were smart they wouldn't bid until deadline day and then offer a measly 30m or something low. They're in total control right now. Unless of course a deal has been agreed upon already.

Re: Roberto Firmino
I think Firmino will make his name at Liverpool, though I think it will be better if he can have a tandem with this club. I just hope his playing style wouldn't affect the team at the same time his aim.

I meant the layout/design. Looks like the Liverpool Echo belongs to the Mirror.

Re: Roberto Firmino
The difference there is that while The Mirror is a national paper the Liverpool Echo is regional, and therefore focuses solely on the Merseyside region. As such, the Echo's reporters have a strong working relationship with the regional clubs and tend to be better informed, and therefore more accurate in their reports.

Re: Roberto Firmino
If we sign another striker like Bacca, Firmino will shine immediately. A striker like Bacca will ease off the pressure Firmino.
But if we do not sign anyone else, Firmino will be asked to play different roles throughout the season (considering Sturridge injured) for a long time. I think Origi and Ings will both struggle to make to starting XI every week. So looking at the recent trend, we might play Firmino as CF more often than what we should.
