I used that as one of the reasons why I found it shocking that you haven't seen it yet. I have seen Fight Club, therefor that argument is not really valid.
Also not everyone, I can find a lot of people that share my opinion on David Fincher's movies.

And I also think Benjamin Button is overhated (not in here in general). It was a beautiful twisted journey of life carried by Brad Pitt in one of the best performances oh his career. Sublime work by Fincher and Pitt.
Agree.
I liked Benjamin Button as well. Very interesting movie.
Btw. Still have to watch The Game. I don't know why I keep delaying it ffs.

Majority find it great though.
Still I would like you to show me those analysis of yours and why you think it is 'tier 2'
But heyyyyy... To each his own I guess

Tier 2, think this is more of a semantics discussion tbh. Tier 2 in this discussion doesn't mean it's bad. Just that the 4 on the top are some of my favourite movies. Probably all of them are in my top 25 of all time.

Would also recommend the site Letterboxd to you guys. I use it as a movie diary. Pretty easy to keep track of movies, rate them etc.

I'm sure you meant that it isn't bad, because if you actually do then I would be amazingly shocked.
Yeah maybe it is semantic confusion. Because I for one just cannot comprehend Fight Club and tier 2 in the same sentence on the same wavelength in my brain.

Watched it too. Great movie. Everyone on the Fury squad pulled of great acting chops Was really impressed by Logan Lerman especially. Brad Pitt was a boss as usual.
Ayer's next movie will be Suicide Squad. It's funny how DC has Ben Affleck and David Ayer tied to their projects but Zac Snyder is directing justice League.

I really liked both Predestination and Fury. I thought Fury was a little more Hollywood-y than other war movies/series like Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan but still great nonetheless. There was great acting too. Even Shia, believe it or not.

Freeza wrote:The movie trailer really is an extraordinary phenomenon. Considering writing my next exam on how it affects the viewer of it. It really seems like an unwinable scenario for the viewer.
1. It doesn't show enough, no one wants to watch the movie.
2. It shows too much, people are really annoyed with it.
I don't really know what's wrong about the Jurassic Park trailer, the trailer has so get the feeling of the movie without ruining it. CGI is amazing at this point in production, and they usually doesn't show this much, this far away release. And the whole raptor argument, I can't see what's wrong about that. We haven't seen the movie yet, so it will probably be explained by then.
Trailers have to get the feeling of a movie right, it doesn't have to explain everything, that is up for the movie to do.
Not directed at you McLewis, I understand if you didn't feel excited about the feeling about the trailer, but the constant criticism I've been reading about CGI and raptors today are borderline annoying.
Also that Pan movie looks really interesting, can't wait to relive my childhood by watching that.
Well I'll clarify why I'm indifferent to the that trailer in particular. I largely find Chris Pratt's character to be a bit unbelievable. He's no Alan Grant and he sure as hell is no Ian Malcolm and yet he was coming off that way far too much. I understand he can't be Starlord in every movie he leads, but his JW character needs some of that swag ASAP.
Beyond that, the premise of the movie itself is unimaginative. Visually, it's going to be quite stunning. Reminds me a bit of Avatar in that way. Excellent visuals, poor acting and plot.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
Watched Derailed with Clive Owen and Jennifer Aniston and I have to say I'd give it a 8/10 personally though probably should be less.
The film really shook me up because I thought I was watching a romantic comedy and ended up being some psychological thriller.
Thing that shook me up the most was the fact that I can see myself getting caught in such a situation so easily. Someone watch it so we can discuss it ffs.
It's really worth it if you just want pure entertainment. Clive Owen is amazing as always in it

He's a menacing henchman with a huge body. Should fit in a Bond universe tbh.
