In the recent times Arsenal's travels to Manchester have been 8-2/6-3 and similar demolitions but I'm somewhat optimistic about this one.

Well Arse currently up 1-0 courtesy of a Cathorrrrrla penalty and City've not had a single chance yet that I can think of. Still won't be getting my hopes up though....

I was pleasantly surprised. Nice win for Arsenal. And what a good week for us. 5 Points clear. Top of the league baby.

Yaya Toure won't be back until Feb right?

I couldn't be any happier. Now I want Frank to be shipped back to NYFC, but that would be impossible now that Pellegrini is without Toure for the rest of the month.

Stating the obvious here but yesterday's result really takes the pressure off of us in 2 weeks' time. It's no less important a game than it was, but it's now the case that a draw (though certainly not optimal) wouldn't be the end of the world. 5 points after that game, with the easier fixtures for the rest of the season, and I'd still very much be fancying our chances. And even if they managed a win, we'd be left with the same points advantage over them that we went into this weekend with. So Arse's win really was pivotal.

Certainly.

Not to mention we'd be 8 points clear with a win, less than a month after being on level terms with them.

If we allow an 8-point lead to slip AGAIN, we don't deserve to be champions.

Somehow, I just couldn't see Mourinho allowing it to happen.

Didn't we only have a 6 point lead at it's highest this season?

What happened to Redknapp tho? Technically led Spurs to play in the CL twice, he was touted to become England's manager and in his next job he coaches QPR in the championship and as a relegation contender in the PL?

He's garbage and a serial serial club-destroyer. Most of his success has been on the back of bankrupting the club he achieved it with.

Villa battered 5-0 by Arse at the Emirates.

Which should set them up nicely for their inevitable victory over us this weekend.

Dortmund lost again.

Getting harder and harder to turn it around. Perhaps we should make a cheeky bid for Hummels and Gundogan in the summer?
