Former Schalke legend

Well, he seems to like it in Moscow - has been there since 2010 now. Interestingly, he was quoted in transfermarkt.de yesterday that he considers returning to Germany a great option after his contract ends in 2015.

BTT - FSV Mainz 05 defeated Greek side Asteras Tripolis 1:0 with a goal by Shinji Okazaki.

Hm. Will there be an additional CL spot for the EL winner or does it mean the 4th place trophy isn't a trophy anymore?

I don't know for sure tbh.

This question needs to be settled, I thought I read that UEFA got rid of the "no more than 4 teams from one country" rule with these recent changes as well.

I already explained it in the other thread but basically PL/LaLiga/Bundi will be allowed 5 teams in CL next season if the winner of EL this season is from their leagues provided they didn't already get into top 4.

Stjarnan-Inter is such a romantic tie.

Stjarnan is from a very small icelandic city (I went there Proud )....the capacity of their stadium is 1000 !!! THEY ARE UNBEATEN IN EUROPE in 6 games !!

man...it's an absolute miracle they've made it this far. Really hope Inter doesn't embarrass them Sad

Their yearly budget is less than what Messi/CR earn each training session....

Serie A gonna do a Bundesliga and try and rack up as much as co-eff points as possible now that we know that the winner gets a CL entry.

This shit league could finally be 'back' Proud

lol that's what I was thinking. We never win the CL anyways. Might as well drop down to EL and win it for the banter and get a Cl spot while at it

Talking about the same subject, what happens if for example Arsenal win the EL AND earn an entry into the CL through their league position ?

The EL finalist will get a CL spot then ?

I think so. That's what normally happens in FA Cup but this is the first time with this new rule so not really sure. But it would make sense to give it to the finalist.

Just realised Benfica are ahead of us in the co-efficient and we are nearly out of the pot 1 Proud Time to smash EL

No!!

If the winner of EL is already in CL through league then there's really nothing to talk about. The finalist doesn't get shit. Only winner.
