La Liga starts today.

Malaga vs Athletic Bilbao lineups:

Malaga: Kameni; Rosales, Sergio Sánchez, Weligton, Antunes; Horta, Camacho, Darder, Juanmi; L.Alberto, Santa Cruz.

Athletic Bilbao: Iraizoz, Iraola, Gurpegi, Laporte, Balenziaga, Iturraspe, Mikel Rico, Beñat, Susaeta, Aduriz, Muniain.

Best ever? It seems totally unneeded and it looks like it hit his arm

This Sevilla team looks *bleep* poor without Rakitić (and Moreno). They got no stand out player other than Bacca. No chance of making CL spot this season if you ask me.

Valencia are a totally different team compared to last year and the new players need time to gel. I'm not too fond of their transfers though, they seem to have overpaid for quite a few average players and let some of their better players leave on loan. But I think they'll have a real shot at 4th spot.

Not sure mate. Sevilla have players who can all develop into much better and help Sevilla as much as Rakitic did or even more. Vidal, Suarez, Banega, Deulofeu, Vitolo, Bacca, Jairo and Luismo. They are all good enough at current level and potentially to at least help Sevilla for the top 4 spot.

The problem atm is the same as Emery found when he first took over. He can't decide between the right tactics and makes a mess while trying to change things. With Valencia down to 10 men, he should have gone for a 2nd instead of defending the 1-0 lead. It could have come off but it didnt't

Think Sevilla will struggle for few weeks till Emery can settle on one thing.

Some of the most awful reff'ing, not that im surprised in any way. I just simply forgot how bad they are.

Sevilla didn't perform well at all, and it wasn't helped by Emery's negative approach after they had taken the lead. Valencia were down the 10 men but you wouldn't have known it. Emery's response was to stick on Banega to play with Iborra and Krychowiak, then replace Iborra with Luisimi when he had to go off injured. Essentially, they ended the game with two DMs and a DLP.

This after he was about to bring on Deulofeu, which would've given Sevilla a much needed outlet. That job instead fell to Denis and Vitolo, who both tired as the game went on.

Defending for the goal was crap, too. They miss Fazio already. He was the leader back there, the best defender and had a good partnership with Pareja. Carrico has spent most of Sevilla career playing DM. Then you've got Navarro who's too slow to play fullback next to them.

You take two influential figures like Fazio and Rakitic out the side and inevitably they're going to lack organisation both defensively and offensively. Certain players now have to assume responsibility and that's not going to happen right away.
