since the time we have started winning these games lately-last 5-6 games or so, I dont think our rivals slipped even a single point. I think all those H2H for us and H2H for our rivals are going to decide the who is finishing higher

Tbf nobody has dropped points. I have been waiting for weeks to get into the top four now, we seem to be stuck on 5th for weeks.
That said, United have arguably the easiest run in and Soton still have some hard games left on their schedule.

We just need go on the another 3-4 winning streak. February decides it for us.
Arsenal will finish 3rd. United/Soton/Spurs and hopefully us will fight for 4th.

Man U's run-in in March/April
vs. Spurs
@ Liverpool
vs. City
@ Chelsea
@ Everton
@ Palace
vs. Arsenal
with a couple of home games vs. Villa and WBA sandwiched between this run. far from easy that !

Re: Rival Thread: 2014-15
We could be above Spurs if we win the derby seeing they play their own derby before. and then we can even create a gap between us and them by beating them at Anfield 3 days later.
be nice if there are a few red cards in their derby, bet they wish the same for us.
anyways, absolutely crucial we win at the pit on Saturday

got off to a good start though.
4 pt gap with Saints now and Bertrand suspended for the game against us
Next weekend is crucial
Ideally:
We win at the pit
Spurs and Arsenal draw
West ham beat Man U (tough one because all Westham CBs got injured yesterday + Carroll).
then the mid-week should look interesting. it was important that our gap of 7 points with Saints got smaller before bigger that thanks to Jonjo it happened. they are all very catchable now. can do with these relegation battler team pulling a fluke up their arse once in a while too !!

Shelvey with a wonderful strike to inflict Southampton a defeat
I gotta say it's completely wrong that we took Allen from Swansea and they got Shelvey from us, and 10 million pounds on top of that

Should we worry about Kane !!! Frankly, I like the result. Now if we can beat Spurs, both them and Arsenal looses ground to us.

Better that Tottenham won rather than Arsenal, but it's a little scary how well Tottenham played, considering they're our next opposition.

If you saw any 10 minute period of the game, it was pretty much the same from start to finish. Spurs dominant, Arsenal struggling.

Not really.
Arsenal will finish top 4.
Spurs is our rival for the fourth spot. We wanted Arsenal to win.

No I always wanted Spurs to win...Arsenal mostly do win their games against scrub teams and I think Spurs will drop points here and there against some lower table team and they still have a difficult fixture list compared to Arsenal.

Re: Rival Thread: 2014-15
Yeah, I wanted Tottenham rather win, because there are so many top-4 contenders that I rather that none of them runs away from us.
Although I do think Arsenal should finish in top-4 with the quality they have in attack, but you never know.

Exactly what I have been saying for last two months. Our bad first-half means we need our opponents to keep each other in check while we gain ground in the H2H.

Re: Rival Thread: 2014-15
City draw and Southampton win should be fine by me given we have Besikatas sandwitched between both of These fixtures and Palace one.
Ideally, both wins but that seems really difficult...but we have to make sure that we give everything against Southampton to win that game !!
