United being very lucky. They'll probably finish above us, but I think they've still got a fight on their hands to finish in the top-4.

Come on. A win in Manchester this weekend and everything changes. We can still easily finish ahead of United and Arsenal. Look at how people were talking about ManU at the beginning of the season. They've turned it around with their attacking talent...when we get Sturridge and Balotelli back and maybe buy a dynamic attacker in the winter things can change very quickly since we still have 2 games against United and Arsenal.

Believe in this team. I do. I mean, even United against Southampton only had 3 shots on goal...3. They shouldn't intimidate us. Liverpool, Arsenal and United will be fighting for the 3rd and 4th spot at the end of the day. Rodgers and our boys will make sure that it's us taking one of those spots.

Come on mate, pre season i had them 4th and us fifth.

Honestly Rooney, RVP, Falco, Di maria, you think our attack is even remotely close to this? They might have shit defenders, but so do we, they got a great keeper, well we got Mig, lol, they have a way better squad then us, let's not kid ourselves.

this weekend, Arsenal can go fourth if they win and West Ham lose...also Spurs have a good chance to jump few places above. Southampton vs Everton is also there which will mostly end in a draw. That means even if it is a draw, it could mean defeat in the top 4 race

:coffee:

Today's results weren't good for us, apart from the Villa - United draw. Southampton, Tottenham and West Ham all got the three points, as did even Swansea. It would be quite important to beat Arsenal tomorrow to keep up with all those teams. A defeat and even Tottenham will have put six points between themselves and us. I can live with a draw from the Arsenal game, but a win would be so, so important, especially after today's results.

It really is a funny thing, btw, that Stewart Downing is having a better season than any of our players.

Thinking about it, Dalglish actually did pretty well with his transfers, even though we couldn't get the best (instantly) out of them. But many of them have been showing that they can play. Suarez, Henderson, Downing, Enrique and obviously Carroll. You could even argue that a player like Charlie Adam can be a handy player to have.

Apart from the players I mentioned there, Dalglish signed only three others, Coates, Bellamy and Doni. Kenny certainly had a bigger proportion of hits among his transfers than Rodgers is having...

lmao Morty you can't count players forms away from Liverpool when comparing that.

The only hit Kenny signings were Suarez and Hendo. And Hendo was best under Rodgers not even under Kenny.

That's it. Everyone else was shit.

Miserable records both of them had in transfers. That's around 400m+ on transfer fees spent between the two and we are closer to relegation than top 4 Sad

our transfer record has been so shit over the years. It has resulted in such a way for us that we couldnt capitalise on whatever we achieved in every season. Although FSG came ans supported the team, quality wise we are lacking compared to our rivals. Also, when Sturridge and Coutinho became hit, I really thought this is the manager who is going to turn it around for us because both these players were hit and I thought Brendan is going to continue to unearth such talents. But looks like he also doesnt have so much clue in the transfer window.

Liverpool: Burnley (A), Swansea (H), Leicester (H), Sunderland (A), Villa (A), WHU (H)

United: NUFC (H), Spurs (A), Stoke (A), Southampton (H), QPR (A), Leicester (H)

Arsenal: QPR (H), WHU (A), Southampton (A), Hull (H), Stoke (H), City (A)

In the best case scenario, we could be 3-4 points from T4 by end of January.

Those are all very, very winnable games we have there, but on the other hand, out of that lot, we have already failed to beat Sunderland, Villa and West Ham.

If we win all those 6 games we're right back in the top 4. Not a single doubt in my mind.

And they are all winnable games.

But in all honesty we'd be lucky to win 3 of them. I think we'll win 2 out of the 6.

We will in all 6 of those games with the new formation and Sturridge returning for the latter part. Book it.

Also closer to relegation than top 4. :brickwall: We finished 2nd just earlier this year. We will finish top 5 this season too.
