Gil wrote:
Wenger told the BeIN Sports: “No, he did not play as well as I know he could and in the Premier League he is an exceptional player and he is a fantastic player who makes things happen and I always had the idea that with Eden Hazard nothing affects him. In the big games he is great but in this tournament when Belgium really needed him he could not really deliver and I believe it’s mental.
“He is still young and the World Cup belongs to people between 25 and 30, you know, and we have seen Messi before going to World Cups and being anonymous. And whilst he was dominant for his club, he struggled for Argentina. So there is a huge pressure that is put on players in the World Cup and only the really experienced players can handle that.”
Wenger of all people just settle this ridiculous debate.
I'm I missing something here? Isn't neymar supposed to be the younger one? (Of whic was faced with 20 times more pressure hazard will ever face) Isn't James apparently younger? Isn't pogba younger? Isn't gotze younger? So where's this notion that world cups are mainly for those BTW 25 and 30? And that its normal to fail at 23?

Sanchez look like he means business. Is It just me or he is similar abilities to that of Luis Suarez?

^ For one, he can't take amazing free kicks, make 50 yard defense splitting passes, or nutmeg a mermaid. So that goes out of the window.
Having said that, he's a decent player. Will take a punt on him in my FF team.

Re: Alexis on the move let's see where he lands
Sanchez was limited at Barca, hopefully he'll have more freedom in Arsenal if he does he'll do great..
if he is constricted to the wing, expect a very basic team player that will rely on an amazing pass.

Thanks Fussball. You're like the great-granddad that everyone heard a tale about from their grandmothers, who came home after a day of hard work and called dinner 'eatable', and that was a huge compliment
Sounds like I need to dig out some youtube videos of some of the countless embarrasing posts I made to stop the Hans hype
Hapless_Hans wrote:As a general principle, I don't understand why talking up or defending one player (Alexis) must automatically go hand with hand with slagging off another (Hazard).
A football league is no wild west town you know, there IS space for more than only one of them.
this is the world of $, €, £, Russian ruble where they coexist together by slagging each other...just the names/characters are different in football league!!!

two unique situations, arshavin's age played a huge factor, he depended on his turn of pace and he lost that after a year and half with us. Then his work rate, he was just plainly simply lazy and cos of that lost wenger's trust which meant lack of confidence.
The age factor is probably the most important, no matter how bad sanchez turns out for next two years we can sell him off

Re: Alexis on the move let's see where he lands
Interesting debates and surprised some are not sure about Sanchez and what his level is. He is one of the hardest working players around, he really works his socks off, for club and country. His biggest asset is probably his skills, technique dribbling, take ons, and also can help create and also score goals. Hes not got the elite creativity, and his size is his weakness... his determination and stamina is also a must mention he can make something out of nothing, seems all in all well suited for the EPL I would think and certainly help Arsenal to step up their game. This guy really deserves that, top professional.

Alexis more than matched what Hazard is capable of individually this season with Club. He has long exceeded his level with his national team.
If Hazard, and the 3 years exp he has with chelsea doesnt put together a better season than Sanchez in his new club, i will genuinely have a laugh
What 3 years? Wasn't 12/13 his first season?
How did this even become a Sanchez vs Hazard debate? Two very different players. Not sure what you lot are arguing here

Surprised he hasn't got a back injury yet, what with all the heavy lifting he's been doing recently.

Annoyingly been good. fair play.
Lets see how they cope once he gets injured. He's carrying them atm and papering over the cracks for how poor they've been this season.

Arsenal was no one man team 00-04 lol. Bergkamp, Pires, Ljunberg, Gilberto Silva, Cole, Campbell they had a great team.

Re: Alexis on the move let's see where he lands
Is there still any doubt that Alexis is better than Hazard?
all the points i had advanced in the past still stand. Technically they are a match, but mentally, as far as having the courage and the will to lead, to take charge and to make the difference for both club and country, Alexis is in a place Hazard has never been, and probably doesnt know how to reach.
He is the best "attacking midfielder" in england hands down.

You don't want to see statistics Alexis vs Hazard, because you would be embarrassed after that post.
