what has happened to higuain and aguero

flopping hard at crucial time . why why why ?

Aguero has been constantly injured for 4 months now. First Pellegrini kept ruining his rehabilitation by playing him the minute he was 60% fit and now Sabella is doing the same. He hasn't had the chance to recover for 4 months.

Not sure about Higuain. Think his problem is not being able to fit in the tactics because He always ends up playing at the RW because 4-3-1-2 ends up being 4-3-3 with Messi in the middle and both of those forwards in the wide areas.

But I don't think they have been doing that badly because Messi is still the key in the Argentine system and Higuain & Aguero do create space for him to operate. Problem would come when Messi decides to not perform and then the system will go down the drain.

Messi is a black hole, just do some research on black holes and you have your answer.

But yeah like RG said Aguero is practically broken atm.

Agüero is not healthy, and Higuain isn't better than what he's showing.

RG if its the formation how do you explain Higuain being top scorer in qualifying with the exact same line up and system?

I think he's just in poor form tbh.

But no seriously, Higuain needs space in behind to run into. As seen with the few chances he got (like Gago's great pass) that's the only way to carve open chances for him. Thus far teams have defended relatively deep on Argentina and that makes it a little harder for him.

Should do better theoretically if the games open up.

Think Lavezzi kinda helps him tbh, more direct and gives more width.

But in any case with better finishing he would have a few goals, missed a few one on ones i would expect someone like him to score.

Can only say that it's because the World Cup is a completely different setting. Obviously he could just be in poor form but how do we actually judge that? He isn't missing sitters or anything. He is just anonymous in games which comes to the system because they are not creating for him nor he is getting the chances he did in the qualifiers.

aguero isn't fit plain and simple and higuain well, he isn't in good form tbh. plus higuain being anonymous has always being he's style nothing new here, ala ruud van nistelrooy.
#forget about the fact that anybody's form would suffer when you're not a key man (andwhenthatkeyman ismessi) , the less ball time the lesser the impact (only applies for players like aguero though).
