Yaya Toure
Man is a *bleep* disgrace. Biggest flop ever. Always comes up short whenever he's outside his comfort zone.
Don't ever defend this lazy piece of shit again in your life Dnmac.

He just lost a brother, he is no way in the right mental state to be performing anywhere as good as he can
He didn't even get to meet his brother in his dying state due to commitments with Man City and WC

He's been crap all 3 games. And is it true he accused City of not letting him see his brother?

according to reports the whole Birthday cake thing was a distraction to avoid media attention to his brother, and City wouldn't let him go and he had to go for Title Celebrations in UAE
spoke to newspaper France Football
At the end of the season, I wanted to stay for four or five days with my brother before I flew to prepare for the World Cup with Ivory Coast, except that City did not want to give me a few days.
I went to celebrate the title championship in Abu Dhabi while my brother was in his sickbed. By fortune, Kolo was at his bedside. After that I blame myself for not insisting and for not leading them to respect me.

Re: Yaya Toure
Losing a family member is a poor excuse. Lampard lost his mother in 2008 yet still destroyed Liverpool the very next day. That lethargic and greedy performance does nothing to honour your loved ones memory.
He was shit in the African Cup and shit in the Champions League as well. No excuses.

Re: Yaya Toure
That is disgraceful if true, and even worse if he's lying and using his brothers death for a new contract/transfer excuse.

As someone on reddit said it's disgraceful if it's true and it's disgraceful if it's not
Disgraceful if Man City said no
Disgraceful if Yaya is lying
Disgraceful if newspaper is making this up

Re: Yaya Toure
Bet he has a list of occasions and things to whine about
No card from Man City on father's Day
No card sent to his mum from Man City on Mother's day
No good luck texts or tweets on Friday 13th from Man City
Pellegrini doesn't take him trick or treating on Halloween
Just STFU already

Dude, seriously, I just lost a family member recently and I can't even concentrate while I eat...so *bleep* off with your dumb ass ideas that these players are all super human and can block off everything when needed.

Re: Yaya Toure
Lost my mother and it took me a full year to actually get my life back in order. The "losing a family member" excuse is exactly a real reason as to why anyone would be bent out of shape.
It would, however, be a disgrace if any of the parties mentioned (Yaya, Man City, the newspaper that mentioned it) were lying.

Re: Yaya Toure
there is no coming back from someone passing away....there are more important things than football, family for example. people react to these losses differently, nothing generic about it....to call his comments about the loss of his brother an "excuse", is pathetic and disgraceful from fans, to say "death is no excuse" is a terrible and foolish thing to say...he will always have the chance to play for his country, maybe not in a world cup, but even that isn't totally impossible, but the man will never see his brother again....think before you say stupid and inconsiderate thing, football isn't the most important thing in this world....a very foolish statement for gil to make, comparing how two people reacted to losses as a justification for someone's performance.....inconsiderate and foolish.

Re: Yaya Toure
Manchester City has denied that Yaya ever asker for leave to be with his brother . They also pointed out previous instances where they let players go on compassionate grounds even during the middle of the season in the past .

You people should not take Gil's comment seriously. perhaps he did not recover the shock of England's winless exit yet.

Re: Yaya Toure
Cote D'Ivory is typical of the African teams traditionally that lack the structure, teamwork and discipline though and as a result underperform vs the other well drilled international teams that compete in the WC. I dont think its fair to blame it on Yaya alone just cos hes their top player. When u r in such a team no mater how good u r u will get pulled down overall.
