Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 16
We noted before that Renee Young has given the impression that she won’t be leaving WWE for ESPN, who has had interest in her, and that she has some time left on her WWE contract.
Word is that she has 1 year left on the deal but will likely be re-signed as she has a bright future on WWE TV.

Am I the only one who feels like Cena will win against Lesnar?
They're pushing the whole 'CENA IS THE GOAT' (Cole especially).

No way Lesnar allows himself to be fed to Cena twice in a row
Especially since he's got the ultimate super-push in defeating a 22 year old streak

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 16
Before WWE began trying to cut $20 million out of their budget, they used to provide buses for the production crews from Sunday to Monday on pay-per-view weeks, and on Monday and Tuesday every regular week.
After breaking down the set, the crew would usually be done around 1am, get back in their bus, sleep there and then be driven to the next arena where they would begin setting up early morning to prepare for that night’s event.
Budget cuts have caused the bus to be taken away and without the bus, the crew has to drive to the next city, which could be a few hours away, leaving them with very few hours to sleep. Another plus with the bus was that they could get some sleep on the bus before shows began.
It’s said now that the change is a lot more physically taxing on the production crew and there’s a feeling that many of the production workers will be looking elsewhere for work.

CM Punk leaving, production crew leaving, WWE network not doing well, talent not getting paid and the quality of the product the worst it's ever been. WWE to go out of business by the end of 2014 imo.

other way round maybe because there is no way we are having Lesnar vs Rollins
Unless Cena wins the title back the next night. But WWe will make his 16th a huge deal so that can't be the case.

We noted before that Sheamus and The Miz are scheduled to do a long-term program. The idea behind the feud is that The Miz is obsessed with his “Hollywood moneymaker” face and Sheamus is promising to Brogue Kick The Miz’s face in.

As noted, WWE’s next NBC special will air on Sunday, August 3rd and feature highlights from WrestleMania XXX. WWE issued a press release today on the special and did not mention Daniel Bryan, who won 2 matches and the WWE World Heavyweight Title that night.
The one-hour special will focus on The Rock, Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena and Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 16
A big reason why WWE signed KENTA is because the WWE Network is expanding into Japan next year and they really have wanted a top Japanese star for that reason.
It’s clear so far that WWE officials are not bringing KENTA in to fail and from an importance standpoint, it appears there is more to his signing than meets the eye.
KENTA is playing a big part in WWE’s Japanese expansion as it was announced a few days ago that NXT, where KENTA will be going first, will start airing on J Sports, a Japanese satellite channel. NXT was added to the channel due KENTA being expected to be a regular there in just a few months.
KENTA is scheduled to arrive in Orlando this coming week and WWE has another press conference scheduled then.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 16
As seen on Monday’s RAW from Richmond, Virginia, Alberto Del Rio defeated Rob Van Dam by submission. There was some backstage heat from WWE officials on both RVD and Del Rio due to the number of blown spots and overall sloppiness of their match that Del Rio won by submission.
On a related note, the main event that ended up being John Cena and Roman Reigns vs. Kane, Randy Orton and Seth Rollins received a lot of criticism, mainly due to making Reigns and Cena look weak when Dean Ambrose was taken out earlier in the show. The feeling was that the match should have been Reigns and Cena vs. Kane and Orton in the first place.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 16
If you’re wondering why Cesaro has been kept as a heel and has cooled off so much even with Heyman as manager, it’s been somewhat intentional. Obviously, as noted in plans on who was going to be pushed, Cesaro was slated to be on the verge of a major face push late this summer.
The decision was made, and this was before Bryan went down, that Reigns would be getting the big focused face push to the top with Cena, Bryan and Sheamus (who has also cooled down greatly because the way they book their secondary champions almost inherently does so) as the key guys. Cesaro is slated for a face push, but no time soon.
The idea is “when we need it,” which would likely be after the big push for Reigns has already fully established him and they need the next rising star. The danger is Cesaro may have cooled off by that point, and really already has. It’s not like if they turn him and push him he doesn’t get over, but whether he reaches the level he could have had they taken advantage of the timing and momentum he had a few months ago, that’s the question.

WWE should just give up with pushing Cesaro. He's a midcarder. Not every midcarder has to be pushed.
