Marcelo was so good today tbh, he's great against defense teams. Though Coentrao was great against Bayern. Never seen a team as tired as Atletico was today after 60th minute, their lack of depth and extreme milage in this season must have hurt them a lot.

Surprised it took this long for them to collapse late in a game
Their depth is worse than AC Milans

Yeh Ronaldo had a poor game, but maybe he wasn't being selfish/arrogant and his emotions just got the best of him?

He's the kind of selfish douchebag that is universally loved by all his teammates, donates to charity and is an all around great guy.Yohan Modric wrote:Yeh Ronaldo had a poor game, but maybe he wasn't being selfish/arrogant and his emotions just got the best of him?
Wouldn't want these guys on the forum to judge me, if Ronaldo is a selfish pos tbh.

You can't make a decent argument other than "Ronaldo is a piece of selfish shit" to say how his celebration was wrong.
So much hate for Ronaldo, some people on here need to get prozac descriptions, because it seems like they have nothing to be happy about in life.
I didn't say Ronaldo is a piece of selfish shit.
"We all know Ronaldo is an attention-seeking pos. He likes the spotlight right on him, but that's what the guy is."
-El Gunner
El Gunner did as you can see if you could actually read. I said Ronaldo is Classless. And he is, plain and simple.
Nor do I hate on Ronaldo, again go back in any thread and try and find something I "hated" on him for, I have been on here for like 3 years. I say when he has a bad game the same s I do Messi or anyone else. I also stood behind him for the Balon D'or when he had an amazing season and slammed him in the Euro's when he tried to outsmart the penalty taking process and therefore never took a penalty as captain of his country because apparently he couldn't count and they lost.
That again was a time when he didn't give a shit about his team and tried to manage it so he could take the 5th and possibly game winning penalty when your best PK taker shoots first. He screwed that up royally so he could have a moment and I didn't call him classless then even though it was.
And LOL, nothing Ronaldo did today would make me jealous of him, I wouldn't want to have one of my worst games in the CL final in my home country that's nothing to be jealous about. It's like because he's a good looking guy there are many on here with these borderline gay tendencies. Ramos is a good looking guy too, am I slamming him? No he had a really good game and acted like a professional I know that's a lot to ask these days but he managed it.
When you grow up you will see his celebration was wrong. Wining doesn't excuse low class behavior. The fact that people like you and others find nothing wrong with what he did is strange.
Madrid more than any other team in professional sports has had there share of great players and individualists and I have never seen anything even approaching what Ronaldo did. It was so ridiculous that there really is nothing to compare it to.

tbh cr celebration was a bit over the top, considering the match was over already when he scored, i know some madrid fans that didn't like it either, but its nothing that bad imo, have a laugh or just ignore it, no need for the crusade considering we could've lost in 2 mins to win it by 4-1, a great day with lots of emotions

Suarez and Cristiano Ronaldo are easy to make fun of, because they get so engaged in the game that they often become a caricature.
They get so emotional, so invested that their reactions are often extreme. Outside of the pitch, however, both are known to be really nice, caring guys.
It is a quality of a phenomenal player, to basically live and breathe the game. Maradona and Cruyff had it too. You need to be a bit nuts.

All credit to Simone and Atletico for getting to the CL final and winning La Liga but I lost quite a bit of respect for him after he stormed the pitch numerous times.
What is he thinking? He is lucky he wasn't ejected. You could tell it unsettled his own players and had a negative effect on play.
And really if I were an Atleti fan you have to love Diego Simone but evaluating this game as a stand alone- what did he do right? Starting Costa was mistake number 1 it was obvious he was not fit- if hes so eager to play bring him off the bench.
No attacking plan what so ever. Defensively they were set up near perfectly. all attacks lost their vision when Costa was subbed- especially second half on.
And storming all over the field and picking fights with Varane- he's a kid and you are a manager let it go.

I said it before; i felt carlo gave up on liga so as not to have players knackered. when you have two teams in contention for the league and also playing against each other in ucl, you have to set priorities straight. And atleti taking the league seriously worked as well, at least that title didn't end up in the hands of 'you know who'... but after the ramos goal, atleti players were simply exhausted....the risk to play diego costa was a miscalculated one which worked in our favor, they had little to no clue on offense as the game was coming to a close

I don't see the big deal with CR7 celebration. We all know that he is a narcissistic fancy boy. I didn't find his celebration classless and disrespectful to the opposition though.

Disgusting behavior from barca fans. I remember the barcelona CL win a few years back and all we had was praise. Flip the pages later and its just hatred for us and our players. No class whatsoever.

Great game by the team, Di Maria, Modric and Ramos were immense. La Decima is finally here after 12 years of heartbreak

I don't think we have ever been so gracious to Barca fans when they won on here tbh...
I think things have cooled down a bit though, but if this was reversed and had happened maybe two years ago we would have had people (RM fans) complaining that the RM(/Barca) victory was undeserved because:
1. CR sucked, Bale sucked.
2. Why five minutes extra time?!!?!!
3. Madrid spend half a billion on this team, trolololo
4. Only managed to score in over time
5. CR super soft penalty
6. Not fair, Costa and Turan missing.
etc. etc.
I think the Barca fans have been quite polite. They can have their little CR bitch moment.

Re: CL Final: Real Madrid 4-1 Atletico Madrid Post Match Discussion
What a Drama !!
Atletico could not handle the pressure of keeping the ball out of box for last 2 mins. Last 20 mins of the game (normal time) was absolutely thriller , with RM looking for a goal. Dimaria was a beast and deserve all the praise in the world. Everyone could see the RM's passion and hunger is last 20 mins. Bale's miss was hilarious and Ronaldo was totally covered up.
Then comes a time when Atletico was tired and RM took advantage. FATIGUE !!
I dont know why people are making fuss out of Ronaldo celebration. There is nothing wrong with it. What i saw in Ronaldo's celebration is that he knew that it will take ages to BREAK HIS RECORD of 17 goals in a CL. THAT and THAT is the only reason he was so hyper + add the Champions League he was dreaming about.
Atletico Madrid Thank you for everything. You have my massive respect.
Real Madrid , Congratulations. Totally deserve it.

Congratulations to Simeone and the rest of the Atletico team; so very close to an incredible double.
This match - unbelievable. Never imagined it would be won this way.

Wow, well this sums this lot up pretty perfectly.
It's called a quote, you generally learn how to use one in elementary school.
Quoting someone is using there words, just in case you never got out of that trailer park to learn that one.
You stay classy just like Ronaldo.
