Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
Morata at the 'top' of our wishlist is BS. We might want him in a part-ex deal with Pogba, but it's obvious our priority lies with Wingers.
As for Immobile, the BOD might view him as a 1 season wonder with a lot of hype around to cash in on him. Or, it might just be that we feel there's no point having a valuable commodity riding our bench.

I want this to happen. Firmino is a boss and Klopp can make him a monster.

Dortmund can't afford spending £20m as they've almost spent their entire transfer budget already, unless they sell someone. Firmino would be the best affordable replacement for Reus you could find though.

But I wouldn't put it past Mourinhio.
The deception when he puts out the 4-3-2-1 with Matic, Khedira, and Lampard

You know that for sure? that's opinion. Difference is that Immobile is a young talent as well, but he is already doing it.

Morata can do it to though. He his goal to minute ratio is very good and he's shown at youth level that he is a stud.
In the end sometimes you sign players on their potential, Moarata has that.

Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
goal/minute ratio dont matter, he is mostly irrelevant for us. just saying from my perspective immobile also has a lot of potential, but he is already proving to be a very successful professional. I dont understand why Juve give that up for uncertainty in another talent. oh well

Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
Berardi has much more ability and proven ability than either Morata or Immobile. I think he has 14 goals in 13 starts in Serie A including a hat trick against Fiorentina last night. When you consider he plays for Sassuolo, that's insane.
Juve already own 50% of Berardi. If they want to play a kid, they'll just go for him.

Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
Anyone can be better, hypothetically. At the moment, Immobile has proven himself in a mid-table team. He's top scorer in Serie A at 24 years of age (turned 24 in Feb) and he will, in all likelihood, head to the WC with Italy. Juve already own him, so there's really no need to fuss around and pay a premium for some bit-part Madrid bench player. Oh yeah, and if Juve decide they don't like Immobile, they also already own Berardi. IMO, the Morata rumours are total BS.Zealous wrote:Mr Nick09 wrote:What i dont understand is how Juve have Immobile, but they will let him go at Dortmund when he is the best young CF in Italy atm, and sign Morata who cant get two games in a row in madrid. someone explains that to me please.

Berardi is way too inconsistent at this stage. Immobile has more goals but the real difference is he's scoring consistently week in, week out.
Berardi has had 1 4 goal game, and 2 3 goal games. With goal droughts in-between, the last of which was about 9 games long
The talent is there, but Immobile is well ahead of him in what matters. Consistency.

Fair enough, Juve also do own Berardi, that's true. S if tey offload Immobile to make room for him, i understand, way to make a quick buck. I dont even see Morata going to juve anyway, there is no way he can get games there, not good enough

Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
The thing with Immobile is, he's a great goal scorer and thrives in a counter attacking system. The hype factor around him is very high and plenty of clubs will see him as the perfect signing.
But, if we bring him back to rotate with Llorente, his value goes down. If he doesn't thrive in our style of play with his back to goal against rigid defences, his value drops again. And we could essentially have an 'average' striker (In terms of how we need him to play) and essentially we'd miss out on a good chink of cash just to keep a player who's strengths doesn't suit our style of play anyway
This is just speculation on my part, but the point is there is an argument to be had for cashing in on Immobile.

Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
How many chances does he get with Sussuolo though... they're a team fighting for relegation. I bet you that they have to play compact defense and hope for the best when they attack. Far different than playing on a team that can impose its play on others. Berardi gets 3 shots per game, which is basically nothing.Tomwin Lannister wrote:sportsczy wrote:Berardi has much more ability and proven ability than either Morata or Immobile. Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
I've watched him quite a few times, his general play is not quite enough yet for Juve. By far the most likely thing that happens if we bring him back is he doesn't lock down a starting spot (Understandable given his age and inexperience) then he gets benched, he plays in no important games and is used sparingly in the league.
He gets pissed off, his growth as a player stalls and we ruin our own future talent.
It's much better to keep him in a lower Serie A club that will offer him plenty of chances and have faith in him.
