Won't be long before he attacks Everton and their 'spending' for their attempts to steal the 4th spot from them. lol
he'll probably attack them for their " unfair " and " predatory " signing of players on loan

Re: Wenger: Bayern's league win 'proves money is killing football'
bendtner at sunderland, miyaichi at bolton, vela at west brom, wilshere at bolton, traore at portsmouth, aliadiere at west ham, bentley at blackburn, hoyte at sunderland... and that's only going back 10 years
now unless each and every one of these players was specifically allowed to play against arsenal on their loan, this is beginning to look more and more like full dementia
or is this like the "signing players in winter transfer window is unfair" debacle, where arshavin doesn't count because reasons?

I refuse to think Arsene Wenger actually wrote this fluff piece. We are talking about a very intelligent man both in football and economics.
Anyway, fluff piece is a fluff piece.

I don't understand. I really hope it's a mistranslation because Arsene writes for eurosports in French and they translate it to English.
Arsene himself few months ago stressed on the fact that our ideal model is Bayern Munich and what we are doing with economic stability at Arsenal comes from the Bayern model. Our target in few years is to reach that status.
This article makes 0 sense.

no mistranslation RG, there is no such article in french on eurosport.fr from what i can see. I think he made a featurette on eurosport.com, it's all him, it makes no sense, but its all him...

Wenger is increasingly reminding me of the protagonist in this Shakespearean book we're busy with at school atm, King Lear.

that's what I was thinking: WHY? HOW?
It sounds like some Eurosport.com intern gets on the phone with him and types in some random ramblings with no coherence. Yet it's there in black and white, the author is Arsène Wenger, and it's not the first article either.
Other highlights include "Bayern is not as good as last year", and another one demanding the away rule be changed, both published between the two 1/16 games we had against Arsenal.
WTF?

You sure it is really by Arsène Wenger and not some blog that is written by some ghostwriter and uses Wenger's name?

Probably like other 'expert' columns, some guy from the magazine types and puts it together from what Wenger tells him between two bus stops.
Doesn't matter though, it's not an article where he's quoted, it's an article whose author is 'Arsène Wenger'.

Re: Wenger: Bayern's league win 'proves money is killing football'
I get what he means. He would like to have the dominant leagues have equalities throughout. For example in the premier league it's realistically only possible the big 4 clubs to win it, we won't see another Blackburn rovers win the PL until a billionaire buys a club and builds it. Bayern pretty much monopolized their league with acquiring gotze and lewendowski, their closest competitor Dortmund is too far behind them. La liga is a little better now that athletico is making their way.

Re: Wenger: Bayern's league win 'proves money is killing football'
Yeah, I don't think he criticizes Bayern's model, just the fact that they're the only one in Bundesliga with that sort of financial power. Still, mentioning the FFP was wrong, because Bayern aren't breaking any rules.

Re: Wenger: Bayern's league win 'proves money is killing football'
Well, next season will be more difficult to win for Bayern anyway. It is the season after a World Cup, and practically all Bayern players are internationals. I guess that might be a chance for Schalke for once, as Dortmund have their share of internationals, too.

Re: Wenger: Bayern's league win 'proves money is killing football'
I'm looking for the part in the article where "Wenger" says Bayern's Dominance Is Killing Football and can't find it
Surely not another sensationalist GL thread title to incite anger, shock and laughter?

Lex, in case you have't noticed, the thread title is word for word the headline of the article by Wenger.
