I wasn't just talking about this season either.... they won like every game that Suarez missed after he bit Ivanovic.

They are not as reliant on him as people think and i don't believe for one second that Spurs or Everton would finish above them.

They would still finish 4th IMO, all that would happen is like when Messi goes out for Barca the others step up.... Sturridge for example would have a minimum 10 more goals IMO.

Newcastle fans know more than anyone else how good we can be even without Suarez

6-0 at St James park  Proud

During Suarez 10 match ban we had won 7 drawn 2 and lost 1 and were mostly top on form table as well.hardly midtable form

We have a system that is effective even without Suarez. When he plays though he is the difference that makes us  title challengers rather than top 4 material.

Just 5 games..

So the notion that Liverpool would be fighting for the Top places without Suarez just because of Sturridge's goal a game a return in like 5 games sounds like a massive assumption to me.5 games is not a large enough sample to come to such conclusions.

Plus i seem to remember Liverpool had quite a few 1-0 wins at the start of the season and they were not exactly playing the quality attacking brand of football they do now.

Nope. Poyet is right, you would be languishing where Spurs and Everton are right now without Suarez.

However, Poyet firmly believes they would be languishing in mid-table had it not been for the Uruguay international.

He said: "I am not surprised, that's why they have got a chance. Without Suarez, they would probably be in mid-table.

"It's not about how they play, how they defend, how they pass the ball, it's about having a player who is going to be voted the best player of the year by everybody, if we are honest."

And you'd be battling it out for 8th spot without Hazard.

And I'd be battling it out with Rwo for handsome men if I didn't have a penis, but thankfully I do own one.

And Mole is right. In 2 season under Rodgers, Suarez has missed 11 (ELEVEN) that's a large sample, PL games, and our record in those 11 games are:

Wins: 8
Draws: 2
Losses: 1

Goals scored: 18
Goals conceded: 6

MID TABLE STATST THOSESOSORUSAIRFHAS98IRH 1!!!!!

We just adapt to a different style and instead of winning 4-1, win 1-0 or 2-0 Proud

Your talking about the team that lost to Fulham.

We are useless without our 3 best attacking players ( 1 of which is no longer at the club anyway)

If we even have a shot on target i'll be shocked.

I'm just saying why we can't get results lol.

Remy is injured, Cabaye is gone and Ben Arfa is nowhere to be seen because Pardew is a twat.

Without those 3 we are a relegation team.

Without Suarez Liverpool would be midtable?

Hell, by the logic in that statement, without Sturridge we'd be midtable.
Without Gerrard we'd be midtable.
Without STERLING AND HENDERSON we'd be midtable.
Without Skrtel we'd be midtable.
Without Mignolet we'd be midtable.

The fact is, every single one of those players has played a key tole in securing results for us this season, without which we'd be sitting much lower in the table.

And when we were grinding out 1-0's without him, we were GRINDING OUT 1-0s. The defense and midfield looked much more solid in holding a lead and keeping the opposition at bay, which effectively compensated for the lack of production at the other end of the pitch.

"For want of a nail..."
