for me as a boca juniors fan, i list down 3 most influential persons behind the success of the boca juniors in term of trophy or award or any equivalent won.
1. carlos bianchi (coach; 1998-2001, 2003-2004, 2013-till now)
pros
a) most successful boca coach in history
b) won 2 intercontinental cup: 2000, 2003
c) won 3 copa libertadores: 2000, 2001, 2003
d) won 4 primera división: 1998, 1999, 2000, 2003
e) won 1 copa sudamericana: 2004
f) won 4 south american coach of the year: 1998, 2000, 2001, 2003
g) won 2 IFFHS world's best club coach: 2000, 2003
con
a) won none in 2 years: 1999 (no idea), 2013 (only had not so fit riquelme & orion (gk) as the only consistent performer in his team)
2. roman riquelme (playmaker: 1996-2002, 2007-till now)
pros
a) won best boca player in all time, voted by boca fan
b) won 1 intercontinental cup: 2000 (gave a nightmare to the combination of makelele (many regard as one of the best dm) + helguera + geremi)
c) won 3 copa libertadores: 2000, 2001, 2007 (single handily won it with russo as a coach)
d) won 5 primera división: 1998, 1999, 2000, 2008 (with ischia as a coach), 2011 (with falcioni as a coach)
e) won 1 recopa sudamericana: 2008 (with ischia as a coach)
f) won 1 copa argentina: 2012 (with falcioni as a coach)
g) won 1 south american footballer of the year: 2001

Without Abra, there would have been no Mourinho or Drogba.
Terry and Lampard could have been sold long ago as we had debt issues when Abramovich took over.

He was the best, he carried the Chelsea team for years before Abramovich bought it.
Without his influence, I doubt Abramovich would have bought the club.

Dinho bought us a lot of global recognition and after many years bough smile/joy to the Camp Nou. Also won many titles including a CL. If it wasn't for him, who knows there may have never been Pep or Messi.
