Have heard very good things about Vinicious Araujo. Think he will be a great signing. He can't be any worse than Postiga.
Rest though.

Re: worst transfer window in the history of existence?
btw bwin currently has dinamo kiev at 2.15 to advance over valencia to the next round of uefa cup, if anybody's interested in printing money...
pabon was loaned because, as explained by the other transfers, this club is run by chimpanzees

Edu Vargas aint that bad. Mazzarri just underutilized him, he had a decent spell at Gremio or so i'm told.

Re: worst transfer window in the history of existence?
Canales is by far your greatest loss given he was Valencia's best player every time he lay his Cantabrian skills on the pitch.
Banega was inconsistent and is an expendable loss.
Yet I surmise you don't know of Edu Vargas who is a very skilled wide/centre-man who is prolific when he is utilized correctly. Not only he is merely 23-24 yet has proven to perform when given the chance for Napoli, a club who did not use him since Mazzari is allergic to anything below the age of 34.
If I were a Valencia fan in knowledge of Edu, I would be quite happy.

Re: worst transfer window in the history of existence?
sure banega has been inconsistent, but a shit banega is still 100x better than michel
same goes for canales... if his presence meant we'd see at least one less minute of feg it would be absolutely fantastic, but no... we're heading into the second half of the season with an absolute disaster of a squad
alves, guaita - fair enough
pereira, barragan, costa, ruiz, senderos, mathieu, bernat - two decent players, two utter shit players, two average players and a winger (7 total) to cover 4 spots on defence
fuego, romeu, parejo, michel - good defensively, trash offensively
piatti, feg, vargas, fede, vinicius, paco, jonas - 7 players for 4 forward spots - two completely useless, a massive flop, two 19-year olds, some random brazilian and jonas
smh...

Otamendi was apparently signed on loan, however the transfer didn't get through.

Vargas cannot be considered a flop given he is a victim of poor circumstance and has a record for perform when given a chance. You must understand how highly touted he was in South America as his individual plaudits are only a beginning. Vinicius has an air of talent around him and has a promising year within Cruziero, quite good from the 1-2 games I watched him in.
Keita is old and unspectacular yet has magnificent use under the right circumstances, is tactically excellent and quite a shooter.
Senderos, believe it or not can be a decent CB when used correct, Ruiz would fit alongside him well. Was great for Fulham last year.
Postiga is a liability shipped elsewhere.
In all truth, I've said this for years and vehemently state that the foundation of Valencia along with their new owners must aim for a penultimate signing regret to what they lost and never found back. I cannot stress the importance of this enough.
Valencia need to sign back, Aritz Aduriz.

Re: worst transfer window in the history of existence?
Meh, we didn't get the players we needed to improve our squad, but missing out on that Ukrainian guy isn't the worst thing in the world, 16 mil on a position we don't really need.
Still pissed we didn't get a mid or fullback.

From BBC:
We were all a bit surprised that Valencia signed Philippe Senderos earlier on this evening. But perhaps Valencia's tweet welcoming him to the club but showing a picture of Brede Hangeland may explain it all.
