Nice and easy. Once we scored two goals, we went into hibernation mode till the last 10 minutes where we scored two another. Podolski looks sharp. Nice to see him bang in two. Showed why we do need him.
Oxlade looked fantastic in midfield. Some excellent passing and showed tactical maturity. Wilshere was good once again. Gnabry had a good game too.
Jenkinson was playing like Cafu. But the opponent fullback was pretty crap so yeah..
Overall, let's hope for another easy home game in the next round.

Some good finishing from Poldi, good to see him and Ox with a few minutes. Jenkinson was very good, looked great going forward.

Re: Arsenal 4 - 0 Coventry City: German Efficiency
First half: excellent. Was in complete control.
Second half: rubbish. Made Coventry look like Bayern.
I hesitate to say Arsenal were complacent because they were still actively trying to put the Coventry players under pressure, but for some reason Coventry were finding it easy to play around that. They kept winning all the loose balls, they pressed us high up the field and prevented us from controlling possession in their half. The contrast of performances for both teams between the two halves was astonishing.
The thing is, though, that could have been prevented had we taken one of the earlier chances. Podolski definitely should have gotten a hat-trick, and Bendtner made a mess out of a good chance with his typically clumsy ball control. When we got that third goal, the fight went out of Coventry. Shame we got it so late.
Ah well, at least we did end up scoring four in the end. First time this season we've won by a four goal margin. Good performances from everyone, though don't want to see that Chamberlain/Wilshere pivot ever again. No injuries as far we as know. Bring on Southampton on Tuesday.

It can be because we had no Arteta/Flamini to cover up the gaps they were finding to pass it around.
Our no 10 was playing as a DM lol

not much can be made of defensive performance shade of Villa Home with no midfield protection but that was experimental with some players regaining sharpness
Bring on Saints

I know he's just back from injury but relying on Bendy for goals after watching this game would be suicidal.
