Liverbirds to go Cherry picking!!!
AFC Bournemouth, nicknamed The Cherries, is playing in the Championship, the second tier in the English football league system. They are 16th in the 24-team league and six points away from relegation zone. Their form in January (all competitions) is DLWD. This is the first time the teams will face each other.
Lucas, Agger, Sakho, Flanagan, Enrique and Coates are unavailable. We had Jones, Kelly, Toure, Agger, Cissokho, Gerrard, Henderson, Alberto, Sterling, Moses and Aspas starting against Oldham. It will be pretty much same with Skrtel taking Agger’s spot. The bench will see some youth/reserve players to fill the void of Lucas, Agger and Ilori.

Nice thread title
I'll be honest and say that all I'm thinking of right now isbig bottoms the Merseyside derby, not this game. When it's kick-off time in this one, only then will this match have my attention.

i hope BR gives chances to players who are not getting enough time and I hope one of them becomes useful for the first team

Meh. just win without any injuries, I couldn't really care less about this match. The next 10 transfer days are much much much more important (now that Lucas is out for 2 months).

Re: Liverbirds to go Cherry picking!!!
This is few of those matches where:
1. The likes of Suarez can get a breather
2. The likes of Aspas can get a run-in

Re: Liverbirds to go Cherry picking!!!
I think we'll play pretty much a full-strength side. Bournemouth are a mid-table Championship club and it's their home game, I don't think we'd be favorites to win with youngsters and fringe players.
Jones
Kelly - Toure - Skrtel - Cissokho
Henderson - Gerrard - Allen
Sterling - Sturridge - Coutinho
Subs to bring on: Ibe, Aspas, Alberto. Suarez only if we're losing.

Alberto, Aspas and Moses will start. Rodgers will not risk whatever left of our bare-bone squad for FA Cup over T4 campaign.

We need to win this game with having one eye on Everton.

Re: Liverbirds to go Cherry picking!!!
i read somewhere that their midfield ia good as a midtable premier league team, so just approach this game with safety, get a win with one eye on Everton game, come back home to get ready to face everton

Re: Liverbirds to go Cherry picking!!!
Nah Rossiter isn't traveling with the team
The only 3 traveling from the U21s are Brad Smith, Teixeira, Stephen Sama.
Rumored team for tomorrow is
Jones, Flanagan, Toure, Skrtel, Cissokho, Hendo, Allen, Alberto, Sterling, Sturridge, Aspas.
I would really like Sterling to be rested tbh and get Ibe some game time or even Moses some confidence for the run in. Also if we're going to risk one of our 2 stars strikers, rather Suarez than Sturridge.
Hopefully Teixeira comes in as a sub but I doubt it.

That's a fairly strong side. Should get the result. We must turn up though.

Would prefer Kelly and Moses instead of those two. Also, I wonder how Sturridge and Aspas will lineup!!!

I don't understand why are we risking so many regulars when we are already down to bare-bones . We could at least start with Alberto and Aspas. Also, didn't we get swamped with a similar team/formation (442 eh!) against Villa.

424 experiment continues. Rodgers.
Please be a 4231 with Coutinho in the hole.

And then he complains about lacking depth...
What the f*ck was the point of signing people you're never going to play?

Re: Liverbirds to go Cherry picking!!!
two 7 million players signed for this specific reason and then risk being terribly fatigued and/or injured for the biggest game of the season because you don't trust those two players.
Just when you thought, no more bad decisions could be made in one week.

Re: Liverbirds to go Cherry picking!!!
Couldn't care less about the result at half time, but benching Sturridge should be a priority. He's just came back from injury and we need him against Everton. Suarez will play with a broken leg if he has too, he's never missed a game through injury.
I don't think we've seen Suarez + Aspas play together at all this season, not from the top of my head anyway, so would like to see how those two have a go.
Gerrard's another that needs to be rested. He's 33 ffs. He can't play more than 2 games in a week. (Why is he even playing when we have Everton in a few days? Argh. Last time he was played when he shouldn't have, he got injured.............)

Re: Liverbirds to go Cherry picking!!!
Also, if we get knocked out of this competition because of Brendan "tactical genius always learns from his mistakes" Rodgers and his 424, I'm going to be pissed. We were knocked out of the FA cup by Oldham because we played the same shit. It doesn't work.

Re: Liverbirds to go Cherry picking!!!
Terrible game. You could tell players are trying not to exert too much energy. Funny enough, I think Moses has been our best players. And Hendo probably the poorest. Every touch he had was terrible. Jones needs to stop flapping at the ball as well. We're conceding way too many corners, they'll score one of those if we don't stop conceding them.
SAS, Gerrard, Cissokho, and Skrtel were very meh as well. It says something when Moses is out best player in a game
