Re: Ribery's revenge
Yeah... CR7 and Madrid sure made short work of that "default" Bundi team that is Dortmund. Oh wait...

Re: Ribery's revenge
Oh and in terms of trophies:
Ribery in 6+ years at Bayern:
- 1 CL
- 3 Bundi
- 3 Cups
- 1 CWC
CR7 in 4+ years:
- 1 La Liga
- 1 CDR
Yep. Day envy Ribery feels.

We have Pepe and an incorrect penalty decision to thank for that.
Ronaldo scored the away goal so it isn't like he did nothing either lol. Just let your hate go man, it's pretty sad at this point how much you dislike a player on a club you apparently support.
Or the least you can do is stopp harping on about how much you dislike him, you've made your point, you can move on seriously

The award Ribery really wanted went to Ronaldo though :grin:Also 3 bundesliga titles may as well be a sunday league trophy considering who he plays for.
Do you seriously think Cris couldn't have Ribery's trophy haul if he played for Bayern instead? Or if you want to bring up the "tracking back" myth I'll put the shoe on the other foot, does Ribery's trophy cabinet look the same if he played for Madrid? The answer is an emphatic no lol, if anything he'd probably have no trophies to speak of.

Re: Ribery's revenge
No one is bitter or butthurt we just have different opinions.
I made peace with the idea of Ronaldo winning months ago.... i don't agree with it but it is what it is.
What i said is not bitter at all its fact.
Ribery consistently wins trophies while Ronaldo doesn't.... oh and that team is stacked because of Ribery not in spite of him, the only occasions Ribery didn't play last season Bayern lost.... if they were so stacked surely they wouldn't have any issues dispatching teams without him?
Do you really think Ronaldo wouldn't swap the Balon D'or tomorrow if he could have a treble in its place? your indenial if you do.( or Ronaldo is just as selfish as some of GL claim he is)
While we are on the subject of stacked teams.... its not like Madrid with their something like close to half a billion investment is exactly a bunch of scrubs.
Your acting like Ribery plays with the football equivalent of the 90s Chicago Bulls and Ronaldo plays with the 2014 Lakers.
Also the tracking back isn't a myth.... do you watch your own games? Because if you did you would know that the likes of Dortmund exploited the fact Marcelo had no help and bombarded him with 3 players at a time.

Re: Ribery's revenge
Madrid would lose because they have become a worse team since Mourinho left, because Pep is coaching Bayern now and because Bayern are a German team. Not because Ribery's revenge.
Messi's revenge however after all these injuries in recent months... I can guarantee for nothing.

CR7 would not have the trophy haul at Bayern because he would never survive there... they don't accept his selfish brand of play. He would have been shipped off after a year if he didn't fall in line.

Re: Ribery's revenge
Its a straightforward question though. Why would Ribery be revengeful ? He has won all that a player desires for and will continue to do so.While Ronaldo on the other hand maybe will score another 60 goals and carry Real Madrid to 3rd place in La Liga and win another Ballon D'or by doing so maybe and his fans can continue to rejoice at the expense of Madrid's failures.
It shouldnt matter to Ribery as he will be coming out a much bigger of a winner here.

Re: Ribery's revenge
I don't think Ribery is revengeful... but like every top competitor, he uses every slight as motivation to keep going at a higher level. That's all it's about: Never being satisfied. You find motivation and inspiration in everything you can.

Yup definitely not bitter lol in any case hipster in crisis is likely to be a recurring theme this season.

Re: Ribery's revenge
You obviously haven't followed Bayern regularly Z... Van Gaal then Heynckes and now Pep are absolute dictators. You either play their way or you're gone/benched. Doesn't matter who you are. Do you really think CR7 wouldn't go crying to mommy within 6 months of getting chewed out? There's no way he'd survive under those guys. Bayern management are about the club, not the players. He wouldn't have Uncle Flo forcing the managers to cave into player demands.
It's the reason he left Man U btw... he was getting into scuffles with SAF over how he was used.

I am inclined to agree. I doubt Cristiano in his current state would fit at Bayern, and I doubt that they would want him in the first place.

No way he'd survive? I don't even know how to respond to that. Pretty childish post based on nothing other than assumptions and biases.
Fair enough I'm biased as well but usually me and you meet each other half way eventually. I'm not meeting you half way on this particular point. Not only would Van Gaal/Heynckes/Pep play Ronaldo every single minute of every single game they'd be an even better team because of it.
Bayern management would carry Ronaldo from Madrid to Munich on foot if it meant they could have him despite what they say or what you think.

Re: Ribery's revenge
You think that if Van Gaal and Heynckes can get previously notoriously lazy players like Ribery and Robben to step it up he can't get Ronaldo, a model professional, to do the same thing?sportsczy wrote:You obviously haven't followed Bayern regularly Z... All in all Ribery should thank his lucky stars that he even came third. Suarez and Ibrahimovic are much better than him and he plays for a ridiculously stacked team in a ridiculously one sided league.
So, Man Utd won the premier league 6 times in the last 10 years, Bayern won the Bundesliga 6 times in the last 10 years. Is the premier league ridiculously one sided now as well?
And all that coming from a supporter of team from a league where for years there were Barca, Real, and then 25 points nothing lol.
Why u think the dwarf and your primadonna manage to score 40+ goals every season, because you league is so competitive? lmao..
Real buy the best players of the world for stupid amounts of money, but you haven't managed to even come close to winning anything in Europe for a decade, you got your ASS handed by Dortmund last year, you're a complete joke of a club, as is clear for everyone to see.
But Ronaldo cried in such a heartfelt way yesterday, a little boy in an injust and bad world finally getting recognized, and I'm not a monster, so I say congratulations and well done, little Cristiano, everything is going to be ok.

Cristiano would finally get to play in a Champions League final again!Zealous wrote:Bayern management would carry Ronaldo from Madrid to Munich on foot if it meant they could have him despite what they say or what you think.
But they clearly don't need someone like Cristiano to replace Ribéry. In his current state he is just another version of Robben but even more egoistic.
I really doubt Heynckes did all the changes himself. All he did was follow up from van Gaal but he had better defenders to show for it. Sammer definitely made a big impact on the club when he arrived so I don't think it is something that Heynckes should be given credit to.
Even in 2010 Ribéry was helping out his teammates in defence, it's certainly not something that came up last year.

he cried when he got the award, not like Ribery who has cried for 3 months until the event.

yeah, sure, Ribery crying for 3 months lol.
i can literally picture Ronaldo sending out envelopes with money, together with a video message imploring them with tears in his eyes, to the captain and coach of the Seychelles, Maledives, etc personally

Re: Ribery's revenge
No one wants Ronaldo in their team. He's a tactical desaster. Man. United only won something when they played him as a striker, something he refuses to do on a regular basis. Even Mourinho couldn't get him to follow his instructions. Klopp explained after the semi-final victory last season how they targeted Ronaldo's area in particular because that and Alonso-dependencia were Madrid's weak points. Only at a club like Madrid where it's all about shiny toys and no substance he can thrive. Alaba would look like Marcelo defensively if Ronaldo played for Bayern.
Z, pls go.
