Re: FIFPro World XI 2013
Due largely to his style of play Müller will likely never get the type of recognition he deserves in these situations. His game is built too much around intelligence and team-play to ever be fully appreciated with individual awards, especially those reliant upon fan votes.Hapless_Hans wrote:cough... Müller.. cough.. best Bayern scorer in the league, 8 goals in CL..

Something you'll get used to under Pep. It's Thiago-Kroos-Lahm midfield now, brah. Schweinsteiger is another Yaya Toure for Pep.

Only people who know nothing about football said that.
But I don't really think he'll take Schweinsteiger out of the team. It certainly would be interesting to see the fans reaction but nah.. don't think it's going to happen.

lol, futbol, I vividly remember a post from you couple of weeks ago where you stated with that same air of confidence that Pep will soon realize how Schweinsteiger and Kroos are 'far superior' players than Thiago... you like to have strong opinions, and a lot of them, don't you?

Re: FIFPro World XI 2013
The whole list is a joke and people's reactions here are a bigger joke. It shows hot little fans know about football.
Reus and Gundogan not being is a joke as is Javi and Piggy not being there. In the clutch games Javi was even better than Schweni.
Biggest joke is Robben missing. He was the best player in the world in 2013. Stand-out best player by a mile in the clutch games against Dortmund, Juventus and Barca. Scored the winning CHL Final goal, single handedly almost won Bayern the game against Dortmund in Pokal with a stunner. 2 Goals in the Super Cup where Bayern lost. Decisive 2nd goal against Dortmund in the league to kill the game.
Clutch goals continously in the league under Guardiola. When half the team was under medical treatment he scored 1 after the other important goals and asists to carry the team
5 odd goals in Consecutive CHL matches and would have broken Chamakh's record had he agreed to take the PK which he earned.
Heaps of Goals + Assists for Oranje as well. 2013 has been the year or Robben people can not deny it.
Other than that Dante and Alaba missing is stupid as well.
Why was Messi dragged into the RW position where he does not play. And even considering some of Ibra's goals he was a flop in CHL when it mattered most. I have no idea what Ibra is doing there ahead of Aguero or Messi.
My team -
Neuer
Lahm T.Silva Dante Alaba
Gundogan Javi
Robben Suarez Ronaldo Ribery
Bench - Reus Goetze Schweni Muller Messi Ibra
Messi itself I doubt should be in the X1 given his very limited impact in Europe and his injury.

I love how there are more Barca players there than Bayern despite Barca not being able to score a single goal vs Bayern over two legs

clicked on thread but after seeing this I'm not even going to bother looking at the team on the first page
nvm, just checked the last page..these awards are ridiculous. nothing but popularity contests.
Though to be fair, the reserve team looks decent with the exception of Luiz.
