Not blaming Kelly Arq, As I said his performances was expected to be like that because of the injuries and what not.

Suarez 19 goals in 12 games, with 8 assists.
Sterling 3(4 all comps) in 7 starts now.

Also, Sterling and Coutinho need to stay back in training and learn to shoot. Hendo and Joe can join them. They can be so wasteful infront of goal at times. It didn't effect the result today, but one day we're going to need them to stop being so wasteful and score quite a bit more. Sterling's missed more 1 on 1 chances this season than he's scored goals. :S

Thought he had it when he hit the post at the end and then caught it (lucky the linesman didn't see it and went out )
He missed a one on one towards the end too, albeit on his weaker foot.
He may not have the '20 goals record' but I think he has the record at 19 with the least games played. Imagine if he featured in the first 5 games.

I'm actually glad we relaxed a bit in the second half. And most importantly no one got any niggles. The next match is in 5 days time against a huge opponent so it was necessary we left our tanks half full.
We've won 4 in a row in the league for the first time since 2010-11 (if you don't count last seasons last 2 wins and this seasons 3 first wins as one batch).

Re: Liverpool FC vs. Cardiff City || December 21
First-half was superb and great to get the three points that were always meant to stay at Anfield to begin with. Makes it much easier going to those two difficult away games.
Second half, well, you don't me telling you this, but we showed only glimpses of good play. Set-piece defending reached a new low, no one marking their guy simply shouldn't happen at any level of football. I can only hope the team is going to work on this in training.
Suarez, fantastic again. Henderson did great, too. I enjoyed watching Sterling as well, a shame he didn't score that one-on-one and his decision making wasn't always the greatest, but we got to keep in mind he's still a very young lad to be playing at this level.
Skrtel was really careless, grabbing shirts way too many times, he deserves his criticism from this game.
It was nice that Kelly got some 30 minutes, I hope he'll get to start the Oldham match to give more indication as to where he is.
Anyway, the three points are all that matter from this one.

Agger is better on the ball but defensively worse than Skrtel.sportsczy wrote:I don't understand why Agger and Sakho aren't paired tbh... Skrtel is the lesser of the 3 easily.
What has started worrying me is that Skrtel himself is making a lot of mistakes recently. Sakho-Toure should be tried after these next two games.

Re: Liverpool FC vs. Cardiff City || December 21
It really worries me how we went into slumber in the HT2. Even that goal and some close calls didn't wake us :-(
Allen has done well in last two games. But he lacks poise and could have got a goal or two.
Raheem is awesome but he needs SERIOUS work on his passes and shooting. He could have got 3-4 goals in last two games.
For the love of god DON'T PLAY HENDERSON AGAIN on the wings. He too needs works in his shooting.
Coutinho is great. But he doesn't get into scoring positions much. He needs to do that (like Raheem) specially with big teams.
Suarez! :-)

Re: Liverpool FC vs. Cardiff City || December 21
The thing though is that CB pairings are just as much about compatible pairings as it is overall quality. Skrtel may be a better defender... But to me, Agger has the ball skills that would fit really well with Sakho's physicality. It's worth a try imo. It may improve Agger's defense since he's paired with someone who compliments his weaknesses.ExtremistEnigma wrote:Agger is better on the ball but defensively worse than Skrtel.sportsczy wrote:I don't understand why Agger and Sakho aren't paired tbh...
