Re: The Walking Dead II
Just finished the episode and damn
~ Why did that woman take the time to climb down the RV? If that were me, i'd jump down
~ The Hershal beheading bit has legitimately disturbed me. slicing him open was bad enough, but going after him as he crawls away and chopping his head off......
~ As if Daryl was going to be ambushed by some scrub zombie He's too badass for that
~ THIS is how you do a war ffs, not that prissy little kindergarten half term presentation from season 3
~ How did the little girl die so quickly from being bitten on the arm?
All in all, a fantastic episode. February can't come quick enough

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm getting to excited at the fact that this might actually try to follow the comics now with what they got... oh and Carl and Ben situation but with her?! That would be awesome!RealGunner wrote:That psycho girl. She is the Ben of the tv show

Re: The Walking Dead II
Finally caught up on the show and I'm actually parallel with the comics as the Gov's about to attack the prison there.
Excellent stuff all around. Herschel, as good a character as he was, had to go....his arc had run its course and his daughters are strong enough to protect themselves now.
I'm interested to figure out what happens with Lilly and Tara now. I feel like Lilly might just be the new Andrea so to speak.
2 best things I love about this episode is that we're finally moving away from a stagnate location like the prison and the groups literally back to square one: scattered, battered, and harried by walkers...2nd half of this season will be extremely good TV.

Re: The Walking Dead II
David Morrissey (The Governor) in an interview
Q: You are also a Liverpool Football Club fan
I am, first and foremost.
Q: And what about you? Was football ever a possibility for you?
Never. No. I mean I love playing football, I played in goal, but no, I was always happy to be a spectator. I played football and I played five-a-side regularly up to a few years ago. But no, it was never an option. I flattered with boxing for a while, but it was very quickly dashed. But again, I enjoy that sport.
So whenever you're on location, down in Atlanta, is it easy to keep up with Liverpool stuff? Watch the matches?
Yeah again, that's the modern world we live in; I mean Twitter is great for that. Whilst I was in Atlanta there was the TV show, Being Liverpool, going on as well, which was quite an odd show for me to watch. But I both enjoyed that but also was quite worried about it. Brendan Rodgers was telling team tactics, I was saying,
"Don't tell them that" So that was quite odd. But yes, Liverpool is an international brand, so it was out there. But yes, I'm very proud of my Liverpool roots, of my association with Liverpool Football Club, my love of them.

He's also apparently married to one of Sigmund Freud's great-grand daughters.
Well that explains the Guv's psychological edge for most of the show

First season was f*cking GOAT. Second season was very very good also. It just went downhill from there though until obviously recently.

Re: The Walking Dead II
The pace is incredibly fast in the comics compared to the TV Show. That's why they have to keep on introducing their own personal arcs.
In the comics, they made it to the prison in like 10 issues. Spent about 10 minutes at the farm. Half of season 1 didn't even take place and 75% of season 2.
If they followed the comics exactly, then all they would have needed was 1 season or 2 at best. So It makes sense with the pacing of it. Expect it to be slow.

Re: The Walking Dead II
One of my favourite Rick scenes. Wish they had done this in the TV Show. This was after Rick kills Dexter ( that long pony tail inmate who was a twat ) and everyone questions him.
Click on it to read on a new tab since they are big images.

Re: The Walking Dead II
How do you guys feel about Scott Gimple as show runner so far? I personally think he's up there with Darabont, and the midseason premiere will be his "true" start as the first half of the season he was just cleaning up the prison arc.
If you guys haven't seen this clip you should check it out: Sam Witwer- who I didn't know much about outside of his brief Dexter appearance. Anyways he gives a big low-down on TWD and AMC

Remember when the zombies in this show actually scared you? That was season 1 where I really felt like their lives were in danger from the zombies.
