Taiwo was a beast, as I knew he would be!!!
I predicted Paloschi to miss in the PK's, wish I was wrong. Kid still has a lot of growing to do. Better if we loan him off.

Re: Forum Milan Channel: LIVE!
Ye, he was crap, Cassano also sucked, should have scored easy on the sitter he got from Ibra.
You can argue about it being a friendly etc, but its obvious that our midfield is the weak link, and it will destroy us in the CL if no good signings:S Its sad, like a Lamborghini with 3 wheels.
It must be said that We played pretty defensively also because we had very slow CBs back there today, in a super veteran Nesta, and the forever-crappy Bonera, pushing the line very high would be absolute suicide against Robben, so I understand Allegri in that sense.
Damn, Cassano! You look just as fat!

Re: Forum Milan Channel: LIVE!
We are being a bit harsh, Bayern played at practically full strength the entire game, while we didn't play at full strength the entire game. They are a lot further along in terms of fitness because they start their season before we do. It was our first official friendly of the season I'm not worried. Ibrahimovic looks great, Cassano can still shed some pounds. Robinho looked good when he came on though, Paloschi looked lost. If we played full strength, we would have seen the result. WE had Bonera in for goodness sakes!! He almost cost us everytime he was defending.

Except that half of them played very little and even 2 non-familiar players in a system can destroy the chemistry.
Allegri already explained his intention to experiment in this match in order to test formations and players as winning was the idea more of Bayern since it is their hosted cup.
Lets not forget Bayern started their starters and standard formation with the intention solely of winning compared to Max's side who were smart enough to experiment in order to learn from this match. You could see it, Bayern did not take of any starters and if anything, they augmented their line-up by further adding more strength in the line-up and you could see it even the penalties where all the starters took the shots in their line-up.
Remember, it is known that the best managers use friendlies not to win and give false confidence to the team, but to use the time effectively and resourcefully before the games that actually matter. Allegri did the same against Arsenal and Barca last year. The teams that go for it all in friendlies? See Ferrara's Juve in pre season or Pellegrini's Madrid.
No one should be judged here as Bayern is fitter and sharper atm due to their season starting earlier.
Also, keep in mind Allegri is yet expecting his signings so he can implement them into his system as this formation was makeshift at best.

MASSIMILIANO ALLEGRI
"It would have been nice to have reached the final but penalties are a lottery. Some of the players did well and some less so. I feel there is still plenty of room for improvement. For the first outing I have to be satisfied but we could have defended better after going a goal ahead and we had another good chance through Cassano. We definitely need to improve our physical condition. Schweinsteiger was the difference for Bayern."
ALESSANDRO NESTA
"We came up against a Bayern side that were further ahead in their preparation than us. We lacked speed and it's a pity we didn't make it 2-0. Matches like his help in terms of speed and getting into the tempo of a match. We'll improve this aspect through the second half of pre-season training."
DANIELE BONERA
"It's a pity it ended in just a draw but we know where we are in our preparation, Bayern have ambitions to win the Champions League. We are not worried ahead of August 6th, we will be ready."

he was actually pretty good today he made the pass for ibras goal and he didnt really make any mistakes in defence...the only defender that didnt do well was taiwo who got repeatedly ass raped by robben...i mean i thought he was supposed to have pace but he got completely burnt by every single person that ran at him bar a few time where he muscled his way to the ball first.

i also thought bonera did pretty well.
A defender who i thought that was a bit shaky was nesta, first time ive ever seen him make mistakes.

Re: Forum Milan Channel: LIVE!
Bonera passed Mario Gomez an amazing through ball off his thigh, thankfully Abbiati was there. As for our starters vs theirs, we started with a good amount of them and yes, but they were all subbed off. Also again I will say this, they are a lot further along with their pre season than us, how many of you think Gattuso will be 100% the starter? and depending on who Mr. X is Prince could maybe be playing in the mid. It's too early to say how we will play.

Re: Forum Milan Channel: LIVE!
I dont understand what the Idea has been with all the destroyers we have been gathering over the years in midfield. Did the Milan-management think that new Pirlo`s would just appear out of our Primavera?? Where is the creative thinking here? Where is the "Galliani-signings" in midfield? Im going mad about it!

Re: Forum Milan Channel: LIVE!
I am well aware the performance from Milan was poor
But this happens EVERY pre-season. We look bad and play bad. ANYONE ELSE WANNA BET WE HAVE AN ATROCIOUS START TO THE START OF THE SEASON THEN FINALLY KICK IN. Happens just about every season.

This. Relax guys, this was our first proper pre season friendly. Allegri used it for experimenting unlike Bayern.
