Seydou Doumbia

This guy is world class imo, he will prove it soon. Whichever club picks him up is going to get a 30+ goals season player. his goal return is amazing, just came back from a huge injury and is just continuing from where he left off, banging them in for fun.

he isn't WC . I think you're just overrating the Russian league. Doumbia is a very good player but i don't think he is better than let's say Bony , the swansea's player.

He has good space tho and i like him but you know .. it's the russian league. He isn't even a starter for CIV for instance.

Gervinho, Kalou, et Drogba. Bony is a supersub along with Traore/Doumbia.

he was the best player vs man city last cl matchday, scored 2 goals. moreover, whenever i see him in the cl he always performs well. not worldclass but close and he will prove it once he moves.

lol not even ibra would start ahead of drogba for cia, you have a point with bony though, he hasnt done much so far in the pl, but i think the russian league is better than the dutch league.

Why haven't they left? because they are not good enough and overrated to all hell by Youtube/Fifa fans...

I know this guy has been hyped for 4 years now, he's 25 and still plays in the russian league... there must be something wrong with him that we don't know.

But then I've not watched him enough to judge so I'll leave it to the others who watch him regularly.

Tbf, REWB overreacted (the world class thing) but he has a point. According to Transfermarkt his CSKA contract expires in 2015. On a cheap he could turn out to be a bargain or a complete flop but then he was cheap... it'd be worth the risk.

He would do well in England imo. But nothing extraordinary. good player, deserves to play in a better league, nothing more.

Nobody would start for Ivory coast over drogba was the point. Even someone as amazing as Ibra.


You really have to live in a place where many Ivorians live to see just HOW much he really means to them not only as a player, but as a person.

He is literally Michael Jackson,Michael Jordan, Winston Churchill, Pele, Di Stefano(Since Argentines like him more than Maradona because Maradona reminds them of the fact that they arent white), Mao Zedong, and Nelson Mandela all wrapped into one to them.

If we are going to be really honest though if this wasnt the case Dounbia would start over Drogba for them. He, at this point in time, is simply a better striker.

Drogba would have retired from international football at the 2012 or 2013 African cup of nations if they could have won either one. The simple fact is, while it hurts him not to win a trophy with them, he has got them to the world cup 3(Senegal isnt coming back) times. He has taken them as far as they can go with him. Its Doumbia time.

doumbia won't be starting until after 2014.

He would be fighting with Bony and lacina traoré. He should/would be a starter imo.

But it doens't change he isn't WC but a good player.

Russian clubs have lots of money,and are often unwilling to sell and demand unreasonably high prices.It was always hard to sign a player from Russia and everyone knows that...Russian players specifically are the hardest to sign.Teams like Terek and Krasnodar average over 20k fans and most of the stadiums are larger than 20k seats...

I like him a lot as a person ( from the little i know about him ) because he's a hard worker and he went through many difficulties to get where he is now.

I'd hate to see him on the bench of the so called BIg teams. Hope he just play as much as possible and do greats things with his NT.
